Why am I not surprised in the least, I saw something about missing animations earlier. WTG Blizz make people wait for months and then launch them broken.
The portals are fine. There’s a portal to every major area.

World of AFKcraft. The portals were fine, weren’t broken.
What next? Downgrading taxi bird and mounted flight speed? “Air is thicker now… Your mount isn’t as spry and young as it used to be… You will arrive at your destination in 2hrs”
At least let our taxi bird keep flying while we’re logged off or something.
Nothing you can say will make me want to spend more time WAITING to get to the same places I could get to faster before this BS.

Need to add in there, remove portals, then give everyone quests to the areas said portals used to go, LOL.

Today, those numbers are greater because of social media. an unhappy customer will tell all their followers, which could be hundreds or thousands. It also sparks a firestorm because anyone who follows the person who responds ends up in the conversation as well.

Some can in here and the other thread saying the quest for portals being open to.weren’t open.
I wouldn’t know… Already completed the quests that would have reactivated the portals.
And we all know that this is going to end up with more of that “never turn this quest in” nonsense.

Yup one was me, I have quests to use the Karazhan portal on my rogue for two quests, when I went to the portal room under Legion Dalaran, the portals were not showing up like they said they would. Logged out after doing some old content, not interested in doing them if they don’t work, I put in a ticket to see if this was a bug and will be fixed. But I have a couple other characters to mess with right now.
True enough. Easier to reach a larger audience that way. Regardless, its a scary ratio even without taking technology into mind.
Unhappy customer telling at least 3 times as many people? That’s bad for business. Because a bad reputation can be expensive. Because you have to work harder to get new customers. Which means it costs more.
Actually I think the jade forest portal is the only change I disliked, but the overall portal removal i liked. Good point tho.
Some of us don’t like having extra time being added to content we’ve already seen hundreds of times over the past decade.

As I’ve said on this topic too many times.
Gamers do not as a whole like to have their time wasted. That’s one thing that has not changed over the years.
Our time is valuable. Respect it or watch as your players leave in disgust.

It’s pretty mind boggling that anyone at blizz thought this change was going to be a good idea. It’s even worse that they came here to try and defend it. It really shows that blizz has lost their touch. The changes they used to make made the game better but now they just continually make it worse. Nobody can say that the game is better off when you have added travel time to get to dead content.
I’m sure they aren’t watching this thread anymore, and don’t really care what their players think on the issue but if they are… just go ahead and revert this change. It will go a long way toward rebuilding the good will that was gained until wod

Not going to lie. I don’t even read the mission table quests. Apparently we are supposed to be reading it to learn about all these skirmishes and battles happening everywhere. I think it would have been much better to have those battles be the incursions we were supposed to do.
It would have brought people to old zones and shown the story instead of talking about the story. Similar to how the legion launch invaded random classic zones, I liked that.

Ok I never never never come on the forums much but this Portal thing is OUTRAGEOUS!!! We don’t even have flying in BFA yet and you want to cull down on how we get around. NO portals in the VALE WHAT??? You see that big Button on the portal thingie that says UNDO THE PORTAL DAMAGE YOU HAVE DONE TO THIS GAME? Smack that big button and fix it!!! (I don’t know if that is enough exclamation points, I don’t think there are enough exclamation points in the whole world for this post.
