Oh ,is there a new quest line for it?
It’s not something I enjoy saying about anyone, but I’m not so sure he knows what he’s doing anymore.
That, and his game philosophy comes across as controlling. They’re slowly pruning away freedom of choice, and taking the game in a direction of “this is how we want you to play, and there will be no other way to play it”.
Oh, yeah. He did say that, didn’t he? I guess I’m so used to being lied to that I don’t even notice anymore.
Yes WoW currently is being micromanaged to death. A game is at its best when it has more freedom of choice.
No one is saying WoW should become a sandbox MMO as that is not what it started as. But at this point they have taken many RPG aspects out.
Oh, the game philosophy is absolutely more about controlling the player than player enjoyment, these days. And I think if they don’t change that philosophy quickly, they’re going to find they don’t have a game left.
That’s a big oof. Just sad really.
Navigation is a sloggish and sad thing now.
The world is big. The need for portals is because it’s big. This idea that you want to make it “seem” big sounds lazy. ;/
scaling down the game so it can be played on mobile devices ?
Sorry had to, but they just seem to be scaling it way down for some reason. Like someone mentioned earlier, removing the portals so that resources can be diverted elsewhere. If you can lower the traffic levels of certain areas, they do not need as much pumped into them.
I don’t know the figures, but there are two types of unhappy customers.
Unhappy Vocal Customers who Stay. You can work with them. If you’re willing to listen.
Unhappy Silent Customers who Leave. You never know what you did wrong.
The Silent Customers are the ones that can ruin you, because they are a much larger group than the Vocal Customers.
I mean, WoD saw the playerbase cut in HALF. The “SIlent Majority” simply left without saying WHY.
Takes me and two others to put up a warlock summoning stone.
I have most of all the quick teleport items, toys, gear etc, but the vast majority of the time, all they do is let me AFK longer while I wait for enough teammates to catch up.
Nvm,i see the quest Zzzz… another one.
Back when I taught customer recovery, the statistic was 46% of dissatisfied customers do not complain, they simply leave. Today, there is a statistic out there that 96% of dissatisfied customers don’t complain, and 91% of those will simply leave. Throughout this thread people mention other options for people. It does not make good business sense to give those other companies the opportunity to steal your bread and butter when you have it within you power to prevent that from happening.
Sadly, it’s like they want us to leave their game. At least that’s the way it feels.
Been years since I worked as a CSR. So I’d forgotten most the numbers. The two that stuck with me was Happy Customer tells 2-3 people, Unhappy Customer tells 5-10 people.
I also remember that they explained how important Customer Retention and Employee Retention was. The cost factor was a huge difference. Customer Retention is FAR cheaper than having to go ‘farm’ (pardon the play on words) new customers.
The hilarity of ALL of this is NOT ONE SINGLE sub would have been lost by NOT screwing with the portals as they were.
200 subs lost is one persons salary.
Id bet a months pay its going to be FAR more than 200 subs lost by the time its all said and done.
Prepare for more layoffs.
Thanks Ion.
LOL,another download ,blizzard fix the ports while your at it.

It does not make good business sense to give those other companies the opportunity to steal your bread and butter when you have it within you power to prevent that from happening.
Sadly companies tend to get so big and monolithic they think they’re unstoppable. I worked for U-Haul and you want to know their attitude about the competition?
“If they say they’re going to the competition, let them. We don’t care.”
Literally, they didn’t CARE if they lost customers. Because they believed they were simply the only realistic option.
Seems like Blizzard is demonstrating that kind of attitude.
They’re a Giant, and they’re being cut by hundreds of thousands of human sized blades. But they’re so large they don’t understand why their feet and legs hurt. They also don’t understand why they’re feeling weak. It’s blood loss from all the stab wounds and cuts they’ve received.
Not seeing any of these downloads you are mentioning
It just finished ,that 3times day ,fix the ports! My pc is a little slow your maybe faster and not you may not have notice it.
Probably it happened as background downloader without you noticing it.
And I’ve been hearing horror stories about a number of bugs that launched with this patch. Some related to KulTiran and some related to Zandalari. Which from what people have been complaining about, were not ready for release. Ie unfinished / lacking animations.
