Sorry to hear it, I hope you find what you are looking for over there. I am sort of in the same boat, but there is some stuff I do want to finish on this character before I make that final choice. But if they keep going this route it might not be that long.

ok look at my achivements and tell that to me again I been here since wow started.
I was there when having full set 0 gear and a blue weapon was OP. I was there when BG did not existed and Tarren Mill/ Southshore was a PVP deathzone to level (I played vanilla on a pvp server yes I know I was stupid to go level there but I was young and naive) I was there when AQ40 open and also in the naxxramas pre event. I have been in hardcore guilds and normal guilds. I have 7 server first titles.
You think that is only portals what got me to quit?
The portals was the tipping point for me.
After close to 15 years of playing this game and taking actiblizz retarded decisions for the last 4 or 5 this was just basically the one that made me go No more… I almost quit when I pandaria had the eternal last patch of SoO, I almost quit when they pulled the announcement of no flight ever in WoD in a 3rd party site no less (really classy actiblizz there). I enjoyed most of legion (except for that stupid BiS legendary that dropped at the end of the expansion XD). But all those things just kept putting a dent in me. BfA did not help at all… the lore is incredible dumb and dull with the exception of a few parts here and there mostly the jaina Arc. The loot system is completely broken and boring. There is no sense of commitment or challenge anymore. Hell even the world first is a joke (if you have not seen the video of what kind of crazy sh*t methot did to achieve said world first I suggest you do its the most Pay to win thing I have seen). Portal removal I agree alone is a stupid reason to unsub but pile it up with all the other stupid dumb ideas actiblizz has had in the last 5 years and you see why I am done with wow.

I can give ESO my money instead of activision too.
Doesnt make any difference to me who gets my gaming $$$ as long as Im entertained and not being irritated by something that is supposed to be fun.
Not a single person here INCLUDING those who claim this joke is ok, would own a piece of crap DVD/Blu ray player that was malfunctioning and causing them more lost time than what it was worth.
NONE of us would keep anything else that was annoying and NONE of us would make these joke excuses for it IF it were anything else, and we ALL know it.

I SAW with my own eyes people using the Kharazan and CoT portals and the Dalaran crater port as well.
These folks may not value their time and think its ok for Blizzard to pointless waste more of it, but those of us with working watches and other things in life to do certainly dont.

Your talking into deaf ears. Or closed minds with open ears. I quit over this portal change it was really stupid but what is done is done. This is no longer the wow I used to know that I loved and cared for.
I know there will always be players that have a “beat the game, then unsub until next expac to beat the game again” mentality - Ion’s cyclical playerbase - but I honestly think those players are the minority. Make the game fun, and most players will do your repeatable content for the fun of it, or roll an alt to do it all over again.

No…it kinda worked for me. Got me right out of old content that I was ENJOYING in MoP where Ive been playing and keeping my sub paid up and even buying extras.
Now Im not running anything in their game but over playing ESO instead.
My subs expire in May and none of the three of our subs will be paid for again after that
Id unsub but Blizzard isnt getting one stinking free dime of my money. I’ll wait the sub out and not be renewing.
They got their wish. No more old content for me.

yeah…you’d think that Blizzard clowns could have done the math and realized that catering to THAT sort instead of the sort that STAYS subbed through the content droughts…ie those of us who FARM old content…would have been the bright thing to do.
But nope. They chose to screw the very players who STAY subbed even when the content is slow or outright sucks.
Hilarious that they are dimwitted enough to not notice that we kept right on paying to play in OLD content while others who play current content exclusively just disappear for months on end when things slow down.
