Seems that the inherent instinct of trolls is to get attention theyre not getting elsewhere.
why not? Since we’ve been here before…
I honestly think it would have felt better - less insulting, at least - if the answer had been, “we don’t think the actual impact will be that large, but we’ll keep an eye on the situation and revisit our decision in patch 8.3” instead of straight up lying to us about “tradition” and implying that this would somehow make the world feel larger.
Being honest that they’re doing it because they want to do it at least wouldn’t insult our intelligence as to their motives.
I assume you meant Tanaan Jungle?
WOOT.
Got THREE player houses in ESO.
Yep…just paid $$$ for crowns and bought some EXTRAS, Blizzard.
Thats what happens when you tick off players who have dumped over $1500 into your game in 19 months.
Yeah I agree, but that apparently takes too much time.
You know one of the things people will say about the portals being removed is that there is either an item or short way to the said previous port location. For example, the violet Seal that takes you directly to Karazhan.
Well, I might add in there too, any argument for the portal in Pandaria being closer to Timeless Isles would be, just get the Time-Lost Artifact and you port straight there. I am sure you have the rep after all, right?
That one should have remained in the shrine or located at a centralized place. There is really no reason to move it.
yep. you are correct
Not to mention the bag space to carry around all of these extra teleport items. Plus, if the concern was to really make the world seem bigger, they’d be yanking these items as well.
Exactly correct! It’s perfectly clear why the portals were taken away and all the other things were added or taken, It was so it would slow player progression down thus making more money off us players.
Heck this thread was started by a CM just to keep everyone contained to one or possibly 2 threads, Don’t believe me then just google “Containment Thread”.
Just look at the thread “XP FROM DUNGENS” (For those of you that haven’t heard this from me already) started by a CM as a sticky thread asking for our feedback on what they called a BUG created in patch 7.3.5, But not one more post was created by a blue, The thread was simply unstickied then went on for over a year and just died out.
That’s exactly what they’re doing here; Waiting it out until everyone dies out and the storm is clear.
What gets me is that if they would put as much effort into giving us more “FUN IMMERSIVE” things to do in game they would have a happier player base but instead they turn everyone against each other causing this “TOXIC” environment.
See, you see where I am going with this. Agreed
But stop giving them more ideas . . . lol

For greater irony, the Time-Lost Artifact only requires honored rep, IIRC. So it would be one of the easier items to farm, since you can grind endless rep on Timeless.

I would say the same if you unsubbed. Too bad you probably won’t though.
My guess is the reason we haven’t seen Phumbles mocking everyone on the forum lately is that she did unsub. They called her back in to do the heavy forum lifting.
All these teleport items have rep requirements. None are account bound. So you can spend an entire year earning rep on all those factions on all your alts just to get to the point where you can use one once and have it go on cooldown for 4 hours.
Doesn’t sound remotely similar to me.

That’s all well and good if you want to got to the timeless isle, but it doesn’t save you much grinding from the months it will take you to get kirin tor rep for that port.

It was a joke about how all the trolls tell us to simply farm up all this stuff so we can still have fewer travel options compared to before this patch.
The situation is just so sad now.

The situation is just so sad now.
I agree, it could have been handled so many different ways and had a better outcome that a vast majority would have been happy with.
And I don’t mean Blizzard just taking everyone’s ideas at face value, but at least try a few things out, test it, and actually work with people.
But then again, they are trying to “cut costs”
My feeling is they want people to play end game to make their end game metrics look better. But they’re locked into the mindset that the way to get people out of old content and into end game is to nerf old content and make it an unpleasant chore to do.
How about if they increased the drop on some of those old mounts to something more reasonable so that people wouldn’t feel locked into having to make a choice between new content and the mounts they have been wanting for so long?

Ahh but that’s the point - you have only so much time to play in a day thus making everything take longer means you don’t get finished within that limited time. This in turn means you have to play another day to accomplish anything which leads to you “needing” to continue paying for more days. It never occurs to them that making something tedious and removing the fun causes people to move on to something else.
Games are supposed to be FUN. When it’s no longer fun to play why waste you’re money on it when you can purchase/pay for something you will enjoy?
Bad design idea: focus on creating obstacles to increase time required to get to content, instead of creating fun content that people will do over and over and over because it is…fun.
Hubby & I cancelled today. He’s all ready gone off to ESO, he’s just kept his account active in case I needed something. As for me, I have a lvl 52 Summoner that I quit leveling so I could play Legion. Here’s to remembering how to play her.
This really was a last straw for me. I so very much wanted to like BfA. The opening cinematic completely blew me away. But I just can’t bear all of the awful changes that have come around with it (or changes I feel are awful, I know some like them.) One of the nice things about FF is they rarely (if ever…haven’t heard of it but I haven’t played in two years) change abilities that much. I can pretty well count on my character playing at least similar to what she was like when I left two years ago.
I so very badly want to stay in this game. But I just can’t do it anymore. I may or may not be back, but considering Blizz’s actions as of late, I likely won’t be back.
