My experience is from watching scaling fall over every time they mess around with the game.
I’d rather have new content than no new content for over a year. It is nowhere near as easy as you make it out to be and I question your claim of working in mobile game companies in any aspect that would be even remotely related to programming.

I’m not advocating for any cut of content, I’m advocating for reckless scaling, with maybe tweaking things that become impossible. There are easy ways to do this.

Those are two separate things, really; cleaning up the portal mess in Orgrimmar’s Drag (and whatever it is in Stormwind, I forget atm) and organizing them into a new room, and the removal of portals in Legion Dalaran and a few others.
The latter is the source of of GD’s angst over the last few days.
I wouldn’t that looks painful.

Don’t forget there are 4 mounts you can get from fishing also, so there is that.
I just feel like if those are the only reasons… why not make a portal room that has all of the portals we are used to? Then there’s no clutter and everything is in one easy spot. It’s not perfect, but it would make more sense to me. There wouldn’t be nearly this level of backlash.

That is why I conceded that this is a good counter example, but one still have way more gambling elements than the other. And one of them seems intentional, and the other abandoned to rot.
