You DO know how farming works, right?
If I cant use some mog or gear on ONE chararacter it DOESNT GET ADDED to my collection!
That means I have to have the abililty to farm for EVERY type of gear in order to have it added to my collection = MULTIPLE runs of the same dungeon/raid with MULTIPLE classes to cover all the possible gear types.

I would bet that mostly what brings new players in is the ones that have friends playing, so the more customers they lose, they’re also losing potential new ones.

The #1 justification they are using to make this change is that it makes the world bigger, yet I don’t think a single person has presented an example of HOW it does that in any way, shape or form.

Generally it’s because it makes it take longer to get places, which makes it feel like the world is artificially larger.

Frankly the world in this game is huge as it is, we don’t need it to feel larger. We need to be able to get around easier to do the content we want to do.

I was talking about a scenario that described cheaters as an analogy. read before responding.

The scenario was a strategy game that had an obvious cheat and that made the game become about the best cheater instead of the best strategist.

But now you’re arguing that adapting our strategy to the game is also wrong, even though the game’s reward system has not changed. Low drop rates have always existed; the game’s reward system hasn’t “become” anything it wasn’t already. So if the game is supposed to reward the best strategist, and playing multiple alts is the best strategy, where is the problem? Outside of you not approving of said strategy.

All you have to do is to keep the content relevant. Prevent your character from out-leveling the zone you are in or just scaling everything to 120.

The fact that we have 7 expansions worth of dead unplayable content is a massive issue.

I was HAPPILY leveling TEN new HM Tauren and a number of OTHER new characters thru that ‘dead unplayable content’ and having a good time at it UNTIL this portal nonsense crap came to the forefront.

They’d have to delay the next expansion by a couple years if they wanted to rebalance all old content, and they’d need to add about half a year per expansion just to keep rebalancing the stuff with every new class overhaul. Not to mention that some people don’t want them to do that. Some of us like becoming more powerful as the years go by, Ragnaros from Molten Core shouldn’t still be a challenge if I want to go back and farm something from him.
