What dev ? I don’t see her stating the dev?
I responded to YOU.
The opening post. The person was replying directly to the opening post.
The question the learn, the question the statement then learn.
I’m talking about your response to Casi
Its fine to have an opinion. Thats what elections are about. The problem there starts when we ignore real concerns of the other side as if OUR opinion matters more than theirs when THEIR lives are the ones really affected by some absurd policies.
But not the dev.
casi responded to the dev
LOL…ok anything you say
Yea I realize now that she was replying to a specific person, but the content seem to be in response to the general idea of the thread, but you are probably right
I think that is an oversimplification. Technically it is true that you don’t need to use any of the convenience items like flight paths, portals, or flying. However, this isn’t a single player game so everything in the game world has at least some effect on everyone that plays the game whether real or perceived. However, it is disingenuous to say you can simply choose to not use a convenience feature or that they don’t have an impact on those that would prefer those features not exist.
Take an extreme example the so-called “God Mode” that you can invoke in some single player games. It has no effect on a single player game but I think most would agree it would have a devastating effect on a multi-player game for those that didn’t want to invoke it.
Game companies have to design their games to appeal to their target audiences taking into consideration constraints on resources for development and profitability. It is a given that not every decision will please all players. Overall, almost 15 years in, I’d say they’ve done a pretty fair job of evolving the game to adapt to the changes in the gaming community.
Now I really wouldn’t care, at this point, if they left more of the portals intact, but their removal is fine with me and I’m still having fun, so in my case, no harm no foul.
Because whose feedback is being ignorned?
Are… you serious? This is the second thread that’s hit 5000 comments. Reddit, youtube, MMO-champion, wowhead. That’s the feedback I’m talking about.
We’re not at all claiming to be the majority of players, but that’s thousands of people telling Blizzard we don’t like this. And we’re being ignored.
That’s the second time someone has taken my “we” and said “well you’re not talking about ME. I’m happy.” Then no, obviously I’m not talking about you. That shouldn’t need to be said.

insertion…again.
This is a public forum, all conversations here are open, you cannot claim you are having a personal conversation and accuse me of invading it.
LOL.
I didn’t say there wasn’t feedback, or that it isn’t being ignored, just that currently the feedback comes from a tiny minority of the current playerbase (and not all agree, like me so my feedback isn’t being ignored) and Blizzard is right to ignore it if they don’t feel it accurately represents the majority of players. Or even if it simply doesn’t fit into whatever plans they are making for moving the game forward.
Whether I like specific changes or not my only criteria is whether I’m overall still having fun playing. So long as that is true I’ll continue to sub and I try to not let small changes I may not like have a disproportionate imapact on my enjoyment.
Maybe a good compromise would be making portals to particular areas that we relied on (like the Dalaran ports to Shatrath, Kara, etc) as engineering items. Give them a few uses so people have to buy more of them, allowing a new form of gold making.

Im thinking that most here arent googling for this topic and are only reading here.
My job is pretty much sitting here all day combing the web given that I administrate a bunch of websites for myself and others, so I end up seeing a lot of stuff that maybe some dont.
There is TONS of hate on this all over the web. For some reason much of it is not being said here by all those people on youtube, reddit, etc.
That doesnt mean they all arent going to be tossing holy fits once it does go live and IS affecting their game.
Should be amusing to watch this tuesday, for sure.
just that currently the feedback comes from a tiny minority of the current playerbase
Thousands of players out of maybe a couple million isn’t tiny.

That’s fine. We’re here to tell Blizzard why we’re not happy.
There have been potions and scrolls of tp in the past. So far payed tp seems to be the most easy way to fix the problem and even improve things even more.
We have mention those in the other forum thread and have came up with some good ideas.
