Thank you! It’s challenging for me to see other classic players say the removal of portals is a positive change. Modern WoW is so different and geared for a different audience and play style than we had. I’m hoping Blizzard will at least add back the six original portal destinations… I’ve thought about it before: starting this game, as a new player today, would be so incredibly overwhelming. Even trying to complete all of the achievements would be… virtually impossible. This change will make the impossible even more impossible than it was before haha.

The group finder MUST be removed…we HAVE to go FIND players to group with in town.
ALL summoning stones MUST be removed…we ALL have to RIDE to the raid entrances.
otherwise all this laughable talk about ‘immersion’ and making the world bigger is absolute CRAP and LIES.

It indeed makes no sense from a logic perspective, but nothing in the old world makes sense anyway. This is clearly sacrificing the logic and lore of dalaran to achieve the gameplay goal.

The portals in game are not actually “lore accurate”.

According to in-game lore, Portals take a LOT of energy to open and run. They’re a matter of gameplay.

Just like in actual lore, almost all Forsaken Priests are Shadow Priests, with a few exceptions being Discipline. But of course that can’t be done in game, so they can be all 3 specs.

Theyre scrambling to make any argument they can scrape up here to justify this asinine removal of the portals that have been there for years causing ZERO problems, and its absolutely hysterically entertaining to watch the desperation in here.

Personally, I think it’s extremely optimistic to imagine that Blizz will do anything different even if people complain in droves more than they are now.

I’m not happy with the changes. I’d like them to at least include CoT and Dal Crater to the portal rooms. I’d really like them to put Iron Forge and Thunderbluff portals in the portals rooms. And I’ve been stating my position loud and clear on these forums.

But I’m not counting on some huge wave of dissent to change anything.

Transmog came from players originally, I have posted about this before. Outfits were a thing in vanilla. Collecting was a thing long before devs added pet/mount collecting ‘achievements’. Those are just 2 from YOUR list. I used to have a guild bank filled with every fish there is in game. Did you know some people do their own fishing contests? Their own PvP. etc and on and on. There are many more types present in Wow and yes at one point it was a huge sandbox with something for everyone. 3 expansions actively discouraging non-dev activities is in fact killing this game. Also I did as well give you one of my personal favs in another post.
