What I’m trying to explain is that there are many things that could be added to the game that would only remove inconveniences, but we do not add them because inconveniences and solutions to the inconveniences are a fundamental part of the game.

Clearly you have no idea whatsoever how game design works… Devs worry about how players play their games because how they play their games effects player retention. Its very simple really.

Emergent game play is NOT designed by devs.
It is something that grows out from a player or players.
If you are a dev, I would really suggest some research. If not, I would also suggest some research. If it is a request for teaching, I am expensive (see my green skin and gobliny good looks).

I know nixiom made a couple of them, and many videos talking about classic use this as a talking point. You’ll need to search a bit since the part about portals is inserted as a joke in some of them and talking points in others, while not being keywords for the videos themselves.

Oh please. Some of these portals have been in the game since WotLK. And the time when Mage portals were relevant was a time when the game world was a quarter the size it is now. And that was mainly because of a lack of flying. Which was something else the player base wanted and that some devs now wish they could shove back in the bottle.

The suggestion of the emeral dreamway was a satirical point about the many ways we could make the game more convenient. The point is that we shouldn’t allow access to the dreamway, not the other way around.

It’s simples people, they are going to be introducing flying so they need to take some portals away to keep the daily number of minutes you play static so they can put it in the shareholder call. It’s nothing personal and I don’t blame them at all. I am totally addicted and I’d even keep playing if they took away mounts altogether.

The reason I did not provide the links is because I have no idea how to search for them. I remember seeing them but I’m not going to watch hundreds of videos just to prove a point. I watched them as they came out when I was subbed to him.
