Hello all, I just got home and was super excited to get on and start the new stuff… however the realms are incompatible (red) and I cant get on … I close out the WOW application and return to the batte . net launcher… it doesn’t start updating as it usually would… I try digging around in the settings to manually check for an update and it says an update is in progress— where? it doesn’t say the normal % on the bottom at all. very confused any help appreciated.
Im having the same issue. And I was on watching the server shut down counter earlier. Havent touched my computer so this is all on Blizz side
Incompatible means your client needs to be updated, relaunch the Blizzard app.
Restart your computer if needed
I am not seeing any kind of update on my launcher. It looks normal.
I also just logged in like I always do.
I have solved this … Close down everything and restart computer… Upon relaunching wow it will work and download as planned. i AM on the game now!
Log out of and exit WoW. Exit the Blizzard launcher.
Give it a few minutes and restart the launcher but not WoW. It should start updating.
If that doesn’t happen, you have stuck WoW or launcher processes preventing updates from starting. Reboot the computer and start the launcher (but not Wow) and it should update.
The Desktop app usually will pick up the update just by shutting down the WoW client. Sometimes it requires you to restart the Desktop app itself, but it sometimes is running in the background so a full restart helps to get a fresh reload so that it can grab the update.
