I feel like if they just let BSB/Grobb have the same options, majority of the “friction” goes away. The only thing I am still mildly upset about is guild achievements, but its a small price to pay for having no issues finding pugs for my alts easily.

If you’re afraid that people will mass leave grobb if given the choice and ruin the balanced PvP server. ISNT THAT A SIGN THAT ITS NOT THAT IMPORTANT? Why are we the jailers of open world griefing? In what world does inflicting an undesired playstyle make sense from a play enjoyment perspective?
I see it two ways: you’re not confident open world PvP is going to be popular enough so you’re forcing grobb players to stay. Which, if that’s the case why are you pressing it so hard?
OR You’re very confident that grob PvP will be popular and therefore the pve players won’t mind staying. If that is the case, what harm is letting us leave if we want? IT JUST MAKES NO SENSE.

Tbh I just wished they made 1 pvp mega server, 1 pve mega server. I wouldve loved to see massive fights on isle of giants, isle of thunder, timeless isle. But is what it is I suppose.

I doubt this gets seen. It will probably get skipped over by everyone else crying about grobbulus or the RP servers.
- No offense, I really don’t think a lot of people actually want world PVP. Anytime I see it, it could be 8 horde vs. 1 alliance…and the alliance is attacking 1 person, the other 7 horde just sit and watch.
- As for character creation: We should still be able to create a level 1 character on the NEW realm with a character name we already have LOCKED to our account. Anytime I have bought a character transfer, a ‘free name-change’ is basically included by doing it this way.
- I’m not even sure if we will be able to have paid name changes. The ONLY upside to starting ‘fresh’ on a new server, is literally starting FRESH.
Character creations should be allowed on the new servers ONLY with names that your account currently owns on that specific server. I know it sounds scammy, but it’s always been possible when transferring. You’re basically claiming 2 available names, and then swapping character names.
If character creation IS NOT allowed in this manner, Free character name changes should also be provided. I’m sure people will say I’m crying, but I want some benefit. I paid for 9 character transfers 1 month ago, and now I have to transfer back? Blizz won’t refund my transfers, so at least let me change my names again.

That’s just it. Grobb isn’t asking for special treatment we’re asking for EQUAL TREATMENT. Also why aren’t more pagle players speaking out? BECAUSE THEYRE ON THE DESIRED SERBER ALREADY.
We all pay the same subs. Please treat us all equally.

just re-create the guild (MAYBE EVEN A COOLER NAME CUZ EVERYTHING WILL BE AVAILABLE) same for character. the only thing you lose is the guild achievements and thats a minor thing unc
Look at the server name of the person you’re replying to. BSB (Bloodsail Buccaneers) don’t get to keep our names.

If you are taking away Guild Achievements from all the Merged Servers then it is only fair to the Player base to STRIP Pagel of these same things. Giving Pagel Players special treatment is unfair to everyone else

What puzzles me is all these people crying about not being able to get off Grobulus. HOw come you all werent trying to get off before this was announced? NOt one one thread in these in these forums ever about Grob sucks or whatever. Its just now, because others are getting the free xfer, that any of us are even hearing about how bad Grobulus is, why is that? What I mean is, if Grobulus was bad for you 6-9 months ago, or maybe longer, why did you stay there and even make new toons there, instead of doing a paid Xfer waaaay back when and bailing out?

For the record so Blizzard knows - roleplayers tend to be more attached to character names than the average player, and roleplayers are the people being excluded from getting to keep names.

Realm first aren’t dat important to them cause it only effects 0.1% of the mop playerbase so if those achievements get nuked you’re only risking losing 0.1% of the playerbase so not worth the money and effort to keep them.
Blizzard being scummy is shocking i know.
On one side, completely right, but wow servers are not supposed to be one thing, the people that want to pvp, and always pvp will do it. they keep their scene healthy and have their fun.
It’s just a massive middle finger to the raiding population that picked an Rp-PvP server because it had an amazing community and a healthy raiding environment for a long time, we got shafted because every other server became mono-faction except ours. I love this server to death and the people that like it for what it is are gonna indeed stay.
But you’ve had people repping from the few guilds we have on horde side wanting an out, It’s getting harder to grab fills or replacements as people dip or life happens, getting people with your same goals and skill level is a struggle, and the people coming into the server are mostly not looking for that experience.
Got insanely sidetracked, but the people that wanna world pvp and make this server that moving forward are not gonna miss the raiders that they barely engage on, and indeed they’re actually looking forward for tuesday, because the server they’re in, is gonna become exactly what they want.

If this is how name reservations are going to work they need to turn off name changes on the new realms until new characters can be created. All that locking character creation is going to do while not turning off the ability to name change is open people to having their names taken by people that instantly transfer and use a name change. So this incentivizes people to pay for name changes so they can get any names they want. Having it this way also defeats the purpose of freeing names up in the first place (unless you’re on Pagle) because there will be no guarantee you’re even going to get to have the names you save or pay for unless you immediately transfer.
