Horde Blackrock right now is completely dead, all the big guilds transferred off. The horde population on Azjol-Nerub and Kaz Modan is even lower than Blackrock. Please consider connecting more realms to these servers!
Iâm glad to see some help for Malygos, but please keep an eye on whether or not it is enough to reach critical mass for a healthy community and economy.
There is current 4 people in Stormwind and 5 people in Orgrimmar on our five server cluster. On Proudmoore there is currently 51 people in Stormwind.
This isnât perfect to me, maybe to you. Iâm not paying to leave a bad situation because Blizzard refuses to properly fix it. The population designation of High for the new Maelstrom five server cluster is misleading because thereâs often a large bot farm online.
Proudmoore has 120 guilds with a boss kill in Mythic Nyâalotha. The Maelstrom cluster of five servers now has 8. Iâm just using this to display the disparity between a âFullâ realm and the now âHighâ Maelstrom cluster. Itâs significant.
You posted during maintenance, so there should be 0 people on. Maybe the servers came back early, but people donât tend to log on until the scheduled end of maintenance time. In addition, itâs basically the low time of the day for NA servers.
Any way you cut it, 50 people in Stormwind sounds horrendously overcrowded.
No doubt the difference can be significant. However, the people who like crowded servers already have places to go if they want to. The people who like lower population servers will have no place to go and will unsubscribe if forced onto crowded servers. Leave Maelstrom/Twisting Nether/Lightninghoof/Venture Co/Ravenholdt the way it is, and everyone will be able to play the way they want to.
This is an MMORPG, who cares about people that donât want to see more than 15 people at a time? I will stop advocating for further connections when Blizzard offers a free transfer off of the dead Maelstrom cluster for all of my characters. There is no community, there is nothing left of that empty five realm husk.
My Medium pop Classic server probably has 5x the population of the âHighâ FIVE realm Maelstrom cluster on Retail.
Blizzard should, because they are subscribers, the same as any other subscribers - and because they make up the majority of people actually playing on these servers.
Thereâs plenty of community. Apparently you just donât want to be part of it. If youâre too cheap to pay for transfers, you can level up new characters in less than half the time it took to level to 60 in Classic.
Highly doubtful. Youâre probably wrongly judging by Stormwind, which is a major location in Classic, but a backwater on Retail.
Itâs nothing to do with being cheap, itâs about the principal here. Maelstrom, by itself, was significantly more populated in WoTLK than the five server cluster is now.
If you consider your guild full of your alts âplentyâ of community, then yeah, I donât want any part of that.
23 guilds that have cleared Heroic Nyâalotha on the five server Maelstrom cluster. 107 guilds that have cleared BWL on Heartseeker. My guild alone has THREE BWL raiding groups. BWL is a 40 man raid, btw. Players from all three groups pitched in to farm our Guild Master the Scarab Lord mount, thatâs community.
Itâs still the place the majority of people go for the AH.
The actual servers that hold the realm info are in Chicago and LA so Garrosh is already ran off the Chicago server cluster and will just have itâs realm time changed to Central. Itâs annoying but only an hour difference. Theyâve done the same with Mountain time servers being changed to Pacific for LA realms being merged.
If Shadowlands follows the normal beginning of expansion pattern, the combined realm will be higher population that Maelstrom was at any point in Vanilla.
And yes, it is about being too cheap. Real raiders on Retail are willing to pay for server and faction transfers.
We organized a raid for fun with half a dozen cooperating guilds in the first week after the merge. But hey, you donât like a community where you cooperate with other guilds, thatâs your problem.
Raiding isnât all there is to the game, and was basically a sideshow on RPPVP servers in Vanilla. But hey, it sounds like youâre getting what you wanted on Classic servers that according to Blizzard are five times the size of Vanilla servers; why try to ruin the fun for those of us that like our server the way it is?
I kept crossing my fingers that Senâjin (a friend) and Bladefist (old toons from a decade ago) would get brought into the warm embrace of Hakkarâs group (current server). This just makes me sad.
EU Câthun realm, actually : 2 people in orgrimmar, none in stormwind, only 200 alliance players in the entire realm and 1000+ hordes only
and Blizzard Iâm sure will not take this realm in consideration because itâs the only non connected EU realm for the Spanish language.
comming here from the EU-ES forums hoping any BLUE CAN READ US
we want all realms connected, not only one realm left and 2 macro of 1000 playersâŠSanguino,Los Errantes, Câthun, Uldum and co. in the same macrorealm, because all together doesnt equall the same population as a âânormalââ populated EU realmâŠ
They never said this. Iâm not going to continue to converse with someone who has no intention of arguing in good faith. Remember when you said that MC was going to be as hard as Mythic raids? Yeah, weâre done here.
