Really, why are you all so obsessed with playerhousing?

If done properly it would literally save the game for many many people and reinvigorate many dead area.
Crafting using previous expansion materials would lead to a very healthy materials market as well as a new niche for housing items.
Dungeon runs would be more common on dead expansions for housing items that may be dungeon/raid drops.
Housing is an evergreen system that you can continually add content to with minimum work.
Housing is a sandbox that all players can utilize when the game goes through its constant droughts (Custom pvp arena, custom pve training ground, a huge amount of RP possibilities.)
Housing could bring life to previously empty zones and cities as a Gilnean housing are would be vastly different from an Ashenvale district.

There really is an endless amount of positives that come from a housing system if done correctly.
Garrison was not housing. It was a fisher price play set.

Players don’t know what they want, example? Classic WoW, dead and empty.

I don’t care too much for player housing, but I think the underlying appeal is progression that doesn’t revolve around just their character.

Having something to show off that isn’t just a new mog.

That was beautiful :sob:

Players are good at telling people what they don’t want, but when it comes to what they do want, well that’s a toss up between many sects of people.

Im pretty sure a couple of airstrikes later both the sign and your bridge would be moot.

or the desolance desolated. plenty of unused landmass from decades of expansions

Player housing as a concept is stupid and a waste of resources and time and effort.

Garrisons seem like a half-hearted attempt that Blizz screwed up intentionally to make it seem like a bad idea so they could say players didn’t like it so they won’t like housing.

Blizz has a habit of making things they don’t want to develop bad, then when players say it’s bad, they use it to say well you didn’t like it then, so why would you like it now.

Personally I would rather they add world quests in every zone and random assaults that could pop up anywhere. Maybe a splash of a few new world bosses to bring some life back into the world, but a major housing development may just be the key.

if swtors horrid game engine can handle it then blizzard has no excuse

I would rather have them spend money on developing world content for those who don’t want to do the big three activities. Also, not everyone will enjoy player housing because it’s a toxic system that brings even more DRAMA.

LOL look at the denialism here thinking that somehow player housing won’t bring toxic drama to World of Warcraft. When the game already have enough drama as is.

(I spy my little eye FF14 housing drama. Does it ring any bells?! And it’s drama the brought up. Try again on painting player housing on a more positive light.)

False. I have demons. They would crush the planes and absorb the destruction, because that’s what they eat. Also, as the proud owner of a bridge, I gain troll-like regeneration abilities.
