There was no red text. No option to follow the original campaign time line. Straight to Korthia on a fresh first time 60 account.
What are you talking about? Link the quest if there is.

I have some thoughts below, but I do agree that options to skip would be far preferable to simply disappearing content. Sometimes new players discover WoW late in an expansion, or old players give a disliked expansion a second chance later, and would be nice for those folks to be able to experience all the whatnots people had at the start. Especially if they paid for the expansion and the next expansion is still a year off more or less. (I don’t mind catch-ups at all though - not heart-broken about artifact knowledge or building an obliterum forge. I did enjoy reading the paladin book about ashbringer just this year, so glad those artifact books are still there.)
I remember in WoD when they removed legendary ring questline, people who were far enough in to the questline still had a while longer to wrap up their quetts even as other players couldn’t start the quest line. Could be something like that.
Also seems to me whenever they removed quests that rewarded appearances, the appearances were just kicked out to everyone’s collections. Not sure why I think I remember that, but it might be similar to how your class can get all the reward appearances instead of just the one you chose when completing the quest.
It could be Blizzard viewed the removed content as an unnecessary redundancy or fluff like how they took out artifact knowledge and build obliterum forge kinds of things.
I recall someone describing removed content where you free Anduin, Jaana, and Tyrande from some cages which sounds an awful lot like a repeat of what we did saving them at the start of the expansion. And I wonder if Blizzrd just had a second thought about making people repeat those motions even if it was technically a different part of the story.

Nope used the level 50 boost tho for shadowlands that came with the expansion

Explaining mechanics has many more letters.
Dunno why you would be against the first but welcome the second.
For the most part what Iʻve seen is that most of the interactions are “o7” at the beginning of the run and “gg” at the end.
the covenant campaign is still in game and is now required to advance much farther than the korthia intro
the torghast questline was removed however
Because the way I see it is I’m not going to see those people again so there’s no point in saying hi to them. I’m not their friend and never will be so it would be pointless.

Its unfortunate since I never got to do the lego ring questline or the panda one for the cape. Can’t even build rep with black prince.

I went from level 59 enjoying my time to level 60 completely flooded with quests, catch ups, and no clue what is going on,

What covenant storylines? I haven’t even touched the covenant campaign on my alt and I’m in Korthia.

Yes you can. Once you get the first couple chapters done for the 9.0 campaign, you can run the 9.1 campaign and then both together.
Actually, the outright deleted the other rescues. If people missed the skip feature for Baine, they end up doing that one, but everything else was deleted.
This is incorrect now. Some questlines were outright deleted. Just like some were in BfA.

I went from level 59… Normal, saved baine. Was sent to Korthia and now everyone is free and anduin is evil.
Made literally no sense.
Not sure who socializes with random group finder people. I count myself lucky if I can keep up with whoever’s running ahead. Four guildies looking for a random fifth person in classic wow maybe.
Now and then I’ll friend random people who work with me on a pita escort quest. Best of those was a person who drew all the aggro, but I couldn’t stop following the chicken, and other person died. But then they ran in from the end in time to help me fight off the last ambush.
Opposite of that was where a quest flagged me pvp and I didn’t realize there was a player in the crowd until I got honor for killing them. That happened a couple times.

I remember back on my old account on the onyxia server(it was a pvp) I ended up getting random honor points but never saw from where.
Although I remember watching a group of alliance getting wrecked by sylvanas and somehow I got flagged even though I didn’t attack or use any abilities, just sat on my mount.
But yeah for 5 mans I never talk or socialize. If I want social id do my usual lfr where I know ill be there while and I can crack a few jokes to help lighten the tension.

Kind of confused. I know when my 50 hit i was asked if i wanted to skip maw. Then after I skip that it ask if i wanted to skip the storyline. I said yes and it has a ton of stuff open up. So once done it allows you to skip the campaign quest. That seems like something is missing. I had to do the campaign quest to open stuff up. Otherwise, i was stuck in a weird no-man zone.
