yeah, the wife has motion sickness something fierce. She can only use Dragonriding if she turns the mouse controls down all the way and doesnt do anything too erratic.

It’s funny this forums has come to down to the same 10 people that flag every post they disagree with. 100% regular flying should be added to dragonflight. It literally doesn’t take away any game experience for anyone and makes a large part of the player base happy.

You can change the video settings when using a dragonriding mount - has she tried changing any of the settings?
Asking since a lot of people mentioned this complaint during the beta and had no idea there were settings to help 'em

I still think there should be no old world flying in DF. If dragons can’t indefinitely hover in place without doing anything, then no mounts should within the zone.

Sky swimming is mechanically superior in two ways. You can afk and hover. You can point yourself at your destination and tab out.
Whether those are good for integrity of game design is up to the person.

I can only see sky swimming being added in the last patch of DF, so people returning for the next expansion doesn’t have to worry too much about the dragon riding leveling and stuff.
Why not? Still haven’t heard a good reason. Do we need to add stamina and movement mechanics to ground mounts and foot traffic to make it viable? Do we add stamina and weight shift balance mechanics to stand in place without falling on the ground?

Also, sky swimming means a lot of sitting ducks ripe to get a nice fat repair cost bonus thanks to whirling surge.

I really wanted to check DF out because we werent even going to buy it after hating BFA and SL so bad. Figured it would be another stinker.
Im glad I was able to see I liked DF, but I should have stopped playing way before I did lol

Land on a mountain and afk. Takes two seconds to find a good spot.
Get high enough and you can do that with DR too.
Hell, travel is fast enough with DR that there’s no need to tab out and do something else while you’re taking ten minutes to crawl across the sky. Pay attention to what you’re doing and you’ll be at your destination before you could have tabbed out and back in.

I would say if you are good at dragonriding there isnt much advantage to normal flight.
The real advantage of old flight is for those who are having a hard time with DRing.
I mean, there is the AFK hovering thing that is useful depending on where youre at, obviously
