The first mistake was queuing Blitz.
you didnât want it bad enough
I played a game at 2500 mmr vs another 2500 mmr team, everyone with comparable cr. We beat them 1500-0.
My guess is that the missing information here is that you were playing EotS, where this can easily happen if some one makes a great play, or some one makes a misplay.
CR is meaningless.
Honestly it feels like these teams should have been mixed up. They said they fixed match making but I donât think they did. Itâs obvious, at least to me, blizzard is clueless and has a bunch of interns working on this game right now.
What advantage exactly do you think CR affords, when theyâre the same MMR?
MMR isnât really working how it should in my opinion. Team MMRs is the average of everyone in the group. All takes is to have the MMR disproportionately placed when the match making starts. The people who are 1300 and below CR probably havenât played enough games to be at their appropriate MMR vs players who are already 1800+, they probably have more games and a more appropriate MMR placement. Just my opinion.
This doesnât provide a clear advantage to the higher CR team though. The players whose CR & MMR arenât in parity could be higher skilled climbers who are simply doing placements, as much as they could be lower skilled players who got a lucky spike.
They also could have gotten lucky hence them not playing enough games and not being at their appropriate MMR yet. Something is off, because I personally see this trend and Iâm not the only one. This really only affects players who donât have time to play multiple games a day. Or just a lot of games in a season.
Ok but what if they had swapped the 1845 guy and the 1673 guy?
I donât have it down to a science, I was just using logic.
MMR fluctuates way too quickly for it to be an accurate measure for matchmaking IMO.
I have been both 1600 mmr and 2600 mmr multiple times when climbing
Iâve noticed the same fluctuations. Iâll be in a 1400 MMR game one match and the next will be 1800 MMR. I understand the game is trying to find the appropriate placement for players, but I think that the system should take into account more of your CR vs your MMR.
Or it should find a better way to balance the number of games played when building teams. So that players are matching at more appropriate MMR levels.
I stay far away from pvp this expansion. I tried it a couple of times, I instantly realized there was little to no effort put into any sort of balance. Smurfs still exist in leveling too, they really need to just make it so when you enter a bg whilst leveling everyone is the same ilvl, and gems and enchants donât work.
Itâs almost as if they want pvp to die, I have never seen a part of any game get so little attention and care. Hollinka probably works 1 hour a week or something. Anyway, for your own happiness donât pvp this expansion.
