Realistically, what could be accomplished without raids

If blizzard didn’t have to invest so much time into a small piece of content a minority enjoys, what could they accomplish?

I think we could see pvp become more than a side game, and we could have good story telling through scenarios or dungeons, maybe m+?

More pet battles probably.

Would this hurt the community?

It destroyed Rift. So yes.

Raiding isn’t for you. That’s fine. Stop trying to take it away from those that do.

You are literally adding nothing of consequence for your argument. Just stop.

Without raids what they would accomplish is to kill any advantages this game has over other games and you can make your own conclusion if that happened. It could pretty much kill the game.

Thinking we would get good story telling because there’s no raid is laughable at best.

And the terrible pvp trend is not because of raids, but because Ion think it’s fair to ask someone that only wants to pvp to farm wqs everyday to be competitive and do raids to get their bis gear with no pvp vendor.

Now that Mythic+ Dungeons exist, I’d say that’s still an advantage over other popular PvE MMORPGs. WoW dungeons are usually pretty decent, but keeping them relevant in this way puts them up a notch.

That said, yeah, a quality raiding experience is pretty much what WoW is known for being good at, and while I’d be curious to see how they’d use those resources elsewhere, it is NOT a negligible amount of people who participate in raiding, even if you ignore LFR.

With no raiding, Blizzard would accomplish the loss of my subscription.

Firing more of the rank and file because hey, there’s less work to be done now, don’t need the dead weight anymore.

The idea that this dev team would put more focus into other areas of the game if they removed something is laughable. It’s all about maximum retention for minimum work, now.

Are you F*****G kidding me?

Get rid of raids for pet battles… ffs.

I hope you’re tralalalin.

Well. Why not remove pvp and pet battles…since they are apparently also used by a minority of the playerbase?

Didn’t you make this same troll post like 3 days ago?

Yeah there it is. Just more trolling, but now it’s becoming spam

I don’t raid anymore but the appeal of it is undeniable. It would be a worse game with no raiding.

If you actually still believe it’s a minority, then you’ve got a level of blindness that even Ray Charles couldn’t comprehend.

All the little sub-communities are a small piece of the overall population.

Raiders - Small Population.
PVPers - Small Population.
Mythic+ - Small Population.
Pet Battlers - Small Population.

So on. Where do you draw the line? Eventually there will be no reason to create any content.

Not sure who wronged you OP but this grind you have against raids is kind of unhealthy. Perhaps you should take a break for a few.
