Yup.
It’s a crime that this xmog is locked behind a paywall. It really is great looking, but something most will never have access too.

I get why they did it from a business perspective - so w/e but damn it sucks 'cause they have made archeology so shoddy that this transmog being something even discoverable by archeologists would of been better.
My gold making slowed down this xpac for some reason other wise I’d risk it lol
The fact that the xmog is the 12 month reward really is the salt in the wound to lol.
What are the chances a friend new to wow will stay subbed for a year? By this point, if someone was gonna play wow they would be already. This refer a friend deal isn’t gonna get the started, and won’t keep them going all year.
Oh well.
I have no friends anymore and I only knew 2 who played wow back in the day IRL but that’s where it ends and the kicker is they changed it so now you need to keep it up for the full year unless you get X more accounts which for me is really unreasonable.
My highschool GPA agrees, wild how much one class can tank it!
lol.
$180 and a year wait…sure…that sounds like a good deal…to a few who have posted in here, lol.
well…since you cant be sure… guess the OTHER option is for you to prepay for a whole year yourself…just to be sure
You know someone thought this thru.
"You want a real backpack? Convince someone to play a year of WoW-- while you’re also subscribed for a year. Or pay us though alt accounts.
Cough up the cash and you get the basic cosmetics that every other modern MMO offers as baseline."
It really is just scummy business tactics. You hate to see it.
or, you know, do easy single player content available to everyone for no additional cost.
Blizzard and Activision have no shortage of corporate greed, there is no need to fabricate more.
So is bullying, but here you are throwing your weight around.
i have enough anima for a mount, sanctum upgrade or backpack…
the choices :\
I got the Venthyr ‘backpack’, lol.
Its…uh…well…not worth the anima grind, quite frankly. Id take a refund if theyd give one.
i haven’t even seen the venthy’r ones…i’m night fae, so ours look really good - especially when you’re in their sanctum trnasmogs!
I like to pretend that my guy etches in a new tally mark on the tombstone every time he kills and skins another Vulpera
yeah…you guys got the real packs
Umm clothie here. If they think a mage would go into battle wearing a freaking dress in reality (and let’s not even mention skimpy mogs for melee classes), I’m sure giving some druid a backpack to carry his stuff around isn’t too crazy of a thought for them. If they were going for realistic armor, everyone would be wearing plate in war except maybe classes that need more flexibility like rogues, hunters or dhs. - and no, as a frost mage I don’t need that. We have to stand still for our 2sec frostbolt casts. So for about 20 seconds till we get a proc. We could do that with plate. Also, a backpack is probably more protective still than the curtains we usually get.
maybe they’ll let you wear our backpacks when we’re all friends next patch
i understand the feeling though…like only being limited to buying those crappy plastic walmart backpacks in middle school, when everyone else gets access to the high end cool ones
As soon as people started using guns on battlefields, they stopped wearing plate - the penalties outweighed the benefits (pun intended). In a battle where people are flinging literal fireballs from their fingers, plate is the last thing you’d want to be wearing.
Okay but if you apply that logic then plate would be the worst armor for all melee classes whenever they’re confronted with fire magic.
Also, can we not ignore the fact people can stab someone way easier through a dress still? I get your argument but there’s still lots of damage that is physical, not magical
I simply don’t get why that guy even tried to argue against it by saying “it’s supposed to be armor”. What about all the skimpy mogs? What about the absolutely, one hundred percent useless cloaks? I just feel like it was a really weird argument to make
