I think RSS has done something that has needed to be done for a long time coming…
Verified that in a 3s match it is more likely that DPS are going to throw the match rather than healers.
(At least this is the case in RSS at lower ratings)
It has also shown me something though. I once used to complain about DPS who in fact were pretty good.
Now that I have experienced RSS I have a better understanding of DPS and understand now that it does require thinking.
I used to think otherwise but now thanks to RSS I understand just how many things a DPS can do poorly and its impact on me.
So yes maybe Healers are “becoming toxic” I will go ahead and exclude myself from that one, hardly think I am just now feeling toxic.
BUT the caveat is that now healers should truely appreciate the small things that DPS do properly more and recognize that there are complexities to it.
Baby healers have always been toxic, they aren’t becoming. Healers control the spread every season. You either get more toxic and become a super villian, or you stop caring and laugh at the unreal amount of anger that stems from this game.
Eh, I don’t know I don’t think that every healer is naturally toxic. Obviously personality will play a major role. I can see why RSS would drive healers insane though.
At one point in time I was in big with some gnarly gladiators and anyone who regularly gets 2400+ is extra chill, but multi r1 or single time gladiators talk big and nasty. The frustration in ss being that you won’t always get the same teammates and unless you’re all in the in-game voice chat you can’t expect them to know what’s going on until you’re at a rating where cc and coordination actually matter (1800+ which is sad bc that’s realistically obtainable for anyone by pressing your pve rotation in a 6 sec stun).
Vendes goes through periods of silence and seeming remorse for being a total… Vendes, but then randomly comes back in full force to remind us the Vendes redemption arc will never happen.
