Re: fixing server balance

I for one love different cultures food.

Its a fun experience typically.

o.o didnt know they had this franchise in the US

What’s worse is they actively made faction imbalance worse by adding HvH. They worsened the issue by getting involved to favour one faction that was already the majority. Not for the first time either, even in classic they targeted premades and changed AV.

Want to fix server imbalances? Maybe start by doing literally anything other than making life even easier for the majority faction. Balance racials, make summon stones sanctuary zones, give people a single (any) reason to want to be a minority faction. Maybe try that instead of removing any inconveniences for the faction that dominates every PVP server with far better racials.

I like the American BBQ too, here in brazil BBQ is usualy an excuse to get wasted hahahha

In America you dont need an excuse to get wasted.

No it doesn’t. What it sounds like is Blizzard incompetence.

Exactly. And the way Blizzard handles them has caused dead servers/factions. If Blizzard sets the parameters and players act within those parameters, then any following disaster is completely Blizzard’s fault.

If servers are booming and healthy, then there would be no issue - much less a player created issue as you stated.

But servers are not booming and healthy; and you saying so is pretty much spitting in the faces of those left to languish on dying servers. Only a completely stupid person or a troll would suggest that a PvP server with a 99/1 pop is healthy.

Paid server transfers should never existed. There’s no point in this service at all.

If a guild is wiped one time on a raid entrance in a balanced PVP realm, or if they can’t find a shaman to totem twist their numbers on warcraft logs, they dump huge amounts of cash to transfer to another slightly imbalanced realm. It breaks both realms.

If they didn’t have this “greener pasture ticket” they will need to work together (as a guild) to achieve their goals.

Paid server transfers only enables:

  • Server imbalances;
  • Dead servers (not dead to bots, since they can transfer with full bags of goodies. Even better, they can bot open world without these pesky players to report).
  • a blank sheet for toxic players in a new server.

Layers didn’t existed (as far i know).

So the game don’t need more “needed changes” now?
It’s in a good state?

It’s ok to log off in a good server and log in a really bad “same” server?
In matter of weeks servers gone. One sided or dead.

Remember. A real World of WARcraft need both sides.

People didn’t opt-in to Mega servers, they opt-out of dying servers.

It’s 100% player-created issue. But the game is owned and operated by Blizzard, they have all duty and power to fix that problem in the first place.

See now? Its not a “full” player made problem. It’s impossible to predict these moves as a players. Could be otherwise (alliance take Faerlina and Horde Benediction). No one will never knows. It’s impossible to have alts.

You could literally sleep in a good server and wake in a bad one.

Exactly. Enough said.

The problem with any automatic transfer block based on faction balance is it runs the risk of splitting communities.

You either have to allow it for both factions - or disallow it for both factions.

How about this?

I don’t see how it could possibly run that risk more than allowing one entire faction to transfer off runs that risk
