Why did they transfer?
Players only play within the parameters of the game. To allow customers to screw over other customers is inexcusable. Not managing your own game and taking steps to prevent this completely ridiculous situation is inexcusable.
And yet, here people are excusing Blizzard.
You’re confused…
Faerlina didn’t become unbalanced because Alliance were all xferring off, at least not initially. At the end of September there were 4400 alliance and 8k horde… A month later there were 4600 alliance and… 11k horde… Even 2 weeks later there were still 3700 alliance but now almost 12,500 horde… And that’s about when the bottom fell out. When you’re outnumbered by almost 10,000 players on a PVP server you no longer have many options for playing the game.
you’re just seeing the data from the free transfer faerlina was ally sided for the entire of classic until the start of tbcc then 55/45 until haft of p1 60/40 start of p2 and then the unflux horde started.
Lol??? Are you 4 serious? Faerlina was alliance heavy?
I played on Faerlina from day one until a few weeks ago and I assure you you’re VERY very very very very much mistaken.
were did you read heavy ?
Well I don’t know what “faerlina was ally sided” means but I assumed that was meant to imply that it had a majority alliance. Which has literally never been the case on Faerlina. Literally. Ever.
sided means it was 45/55
Ok I guess we’re making up terms now but whatever… The fact remains that Faerlina didn’t start skewing heavily horde side because Alliance were xferring off… It was the literally thousands of horde that xferred IN that made alliance unplayable, which then led to people leaving because you couldn’t leave a major city without being instantly killed (and even most of the major cities werent even safe)
45/55, 55/45, 60/40 free tranfers 1000000/0
why people were leving before ? the influx of horde just made the process faster.
What numbers do you think we would have at the start of p3 if the free transfers didnt happend ? 70/30?
I REALLY didn’t want to leave Fearlina and I imagine lots of people felt the same. Even aside from the multiple characters I left behind… I played on Faerlina for over 2 years… It was rare that I’d join a group where I didn’t know someone. I could join random pugs and see buddies I helped get their Diamond flask… or share stories of terrible Ony groups we were in 6 phases ago… On Bene I’m the new guy in a sea of people. There’s some small consolation that everyone is new and it is a little easier than I expected… but its definitely not the same… Plus half of us have new names so even if I see someone I used to know a lot of the time we won’t even recognize each other, lol… No one wanted to leave… but we were left with little choice.
Free xfers werent the issue. Free xfers into high pop servers were… It just didn’t make any sense… If someone REALLY wanted to be on a high pop server they could have made them charge. There was no reason to offer welfare xfers to “ideal” servers.
I know the faerlina ally didnt want to leave(at least some didnt) and people told me they left cause they didnt want to deal with ganking at ssc entrange and ogrilla everyday and would get even worse in netherwing dialys
and people would be mad cause they dont want to play on “dieing” realms and the tranfer didnt help(in their minds)
We all stuck it out WAAAY into phase 2 and most of us just gave up on Ogrila a long t ime ago lol. It is weird now though, I still forget sometimes I’m on a majority server now. I often forget I could actually go do my dailies etc. if I wanted without having to death run 30 times.
Yea maybe, people usually find a reason to be mad. It still would have given those unbalanced med pop servers a fighting chance instead of just hastening everyone elses collapse.
Lets be fair NO COMPANY will because of the money.
Literally all MMO’s have a paid service.
heck even as good as FF14 is doing right now and they have a MUCH WORSE cash shop than wow does.
that was two weeks into p2 that my ally friends transfered
Who was it, lol? I knew a handful of people who xferred off early but it wasnt too bad until basically the Thanskgiving break. Thats when everything just started falling apart… quickly.
it was a brazillian guild (This is BR) I think they merged with some other guild on bene
Yea we had a few Portuguese speaking guilds. One of my Br friends actually taught me how to make a Feijouda, (which I totally nailed btw.)
HAHAHAHA I realy dont know why Americans like sooo much, I work for a US(Georgia) company and aways when I visiting they make me take then to a Brazillian steak house its pretty funny
We do love our meats :p. I think that’s probably a big thing Brazilians and Americans have in common, us Texans in particular lol. Fogo de Chao has done extremely well in Texas.
