it is very sad to see how low representation we have and how Blizz continues to ignore blatant bugs / issues and balance for anything other than dps.
More like Deez s sac know what Iām sayin?
Iāll see myself out.
Looking at warcraft logs. Rdruid is performing worse than all healers, including holy priest.
Disc priest is dunking on eveyone. Their median performance is ahead of Rdruids Maximum performance.
And yet, here are the numbers.
576,645 Hpallys.
331,575 Disc priest
177,721 Rsham
145,260 rdruid.
Almost 4 Hpallys per rdruid.
Iām ranked top 10 rdruids on my server. top 400 in the world.
And I have to spend most of my time playing boomy.
Can blizzard please address healers.
This will only get more severe as more Hpallys get val.
Itās because how their kit is designed.
Itās bad for most encounters.
I didnāt get to experience ICC way back when, but got to experience first half of Wrath. Do they have more raid wide damage fights like IC and Mimiron in ICC?
I do believe theres more healing to be done on the raid in P3 and 4 unless I am insane. Its why Trauma is a good weapon for rdruids as theres more to heal in general, but again I could be completely mis-remembering
Well ofc there will be more healing. I forgot about Trauma I went after and got Valanyr. I forgot that was a good weapon for certain fights. I just wanted more raid wide damage fights where itās just continuous drain on raid hp
yea I believe there is more of that in ToGC and ICC than currently.
Val and Trauma would be great to have to switch back and forth for given fights of course
You can wait your damn turn. Druids were just buffed so you have 10 more iterations of buffs before you get another look.
cool story bro. I will continue to advocate for the lowest represented healer thx.
You can wait for the lowest represented class (in both population and raid attendance).
Did you know, that holy pally has raid sac annd sac, and priest has hymn and ps. What value is there to bringing a Druid? Good luck brother.
yea kinda sad we have no tank / raid CD that makes a resto specced druid wanted. when there are almost 4 paladins and 2+ healing priests taken for each resto druid, and rdruids are not seen in speedruns and first to moved to boomkin OS makes me sad for a class that has a cool and unique playstyle.
Also WG fix is the absolute minimum we need, but even still wont make us a desired healing spec.
Rdruid will still be terrible, who wants to be healed over time dog, a resto shaman presses one button and instant heals quite a few people. Rdruid are dogwater
Welcome to the club, at least feral was buffed. The other 8 classes havenāt got squat from Blizzard.
feral buff has no bearing on me, my spec or this discussion. Feral is a dps/tank spec, this is about healing specifically.
Resto druids have revitalize, innervate and rebirth.
Holy pally is overtuned and the one in need of a nerf. Because if you buff resto druid, then you need to buff resto shaman, then you need to buff holy priest, and the cycle continues.
Nah, just make Wild Growth smart and delete Divine Guardian from the game.
Comparing Rdruids to Hpal and Dpriest makes no sense at all.
Everyone knew even before Wrath launch that Hpals and Dpriests were going to be the most popular specs to go healer for an obvious reason.
Rdruids also have a totally different healing style from Hpals and Dpriest, they are raid healers and sustain healers so you have to compare them to the healers with the same healing pattern ā Rshams and Hpriests (Yes Hpriests do exist and no, sending them to discipline is not an argument)
If you compare Rdruids to Rshams they are pretty close in parses and representation, in all guides Rdruids are well received by the community, no one besides HARDCORE guilds will not accept one. They are mostly welcomed in most comps
In parse scores Rdruids are at 74 while Rshams are at 77 thereās not huge difference, at that point is mostly player skill.
Rdruids are fine, they do great healing, have strengths and weaknesses and they work as intended like in OG wrath.
Buffing resto druids will put Rshams and Hpriest in a worse spot considering they too suffer if we compare them to Hpals and Dpriests.
And this considering Rdruids are 2nd best Valanyrs users so theyāll tend to get more invites just for that.
This, a buff to Rdruid needs to translate to a buff to Rsham and also to Hpriest leaving Rdruids in literally the same spot, because even being at the bottom of the meters, the margin is not noticeable. A good Rdruid can out heal for miles a good Rsham or a good Hpriest.
Also Rdruids are the most mobile healers of them all which is really good for a lot of fights and are S tier healers for rot dmg patterns which Ulduar has like Hodir, Mimiron, ignis flame jets, vezax hardmode phase.
ICC will also have some fights where movement + sustain healing is really good.
Hardcore guilds wonāt give a F because they are hardcore, they cheese mechanic, everyone do their job as planned not getting heavy or avoidable dmg in the process. 80% of the guilds will miss that and are gonna need the extra healing a raid healer like Hpriest, Rsham or Rdruid brings.
You mean Holy priest?
- Festergut and Lanathel are HEAVY rot dmg pumpers.
- Marrowgar during spining is raid wide ticking dmg and everyone is spread which makes Sustain healers really good.
- In blood council fight people tend to be quite spread all over the place making Hpals splash healing not effective.
Stop the bias, your class and spec is ok, enjoy it and do not compare to the Hpal and Dpriest FOTM healers, beacause thereās no logic in doing that.
In any case the most optimal solution is bringing down a bit hpals and dpriests so all 3 non-meta healers are brought up. But I wouldnāt even like that, wrath healing meta was this, and itās better to leave it like that. Everyone knew the moment they paid the subscription to play this expansion what was coming.
tbh I always considered Rdruids to be really good healers and we wouldnāt change ours for anything. Like holy paladins and discipline are in another whole level but having an rdruid making sure everyone is getting constant healing through hots is something really valuable and our restoration druid is really up there on par with our resto shaman and our holy pal.
Also our rogue and warriors love the revitalize procs for energy and wrath, itās a nice little dps boost.
Iām not really into more changes to classes specially before everyone is geared from ICC.
To be honest, i dont get why Healdruids are that underrepresented.
They are good, they just get their healing potential stolen - but if that is the case, why does it even matter ?
I mean if i compare our Healpally and our Resto druid, their healing potential seems to be not that different from each other, with obviously some fight more naturally favored, like Algalon for Healpally, or XT/IC for healdruid.
https://classic.warcraftlogs.com/character/eu/venoxis/dispomed
thats our healdruid
https://classic.warcraftlogs.com/character/eu/venoxis/timmeeyy
thats our healpally (we have only 1 healpally)
The biggest reason we sometimes let the healdruid or our resto shaman, or our healpriest respec, is that its easier for them to act as a dps, since being boomkin, Ele and shadowpriest its easy to utilize a lot of the healgear.
Healpally stays heal in our raid not due to being unchangably, but due to the hassle with gearing the Hpallys with ret gear (and obviously rets dont deal that much dmg)
So while even a blind man can see that healdruids are really underrepresented at algalon, the question is, is it really related to their healing output, or is it more related to being able to respec into a good dps, whilst also having other healers that are more favored on this specific encounter.
