RDF was a bad addition and I’m glad it’s not in

Pretty simple; ice cream is a good treat but when you have ice cream for every meal it doesn’t hit the same then after a while you start to not enjoy it.

Same with dungeons in WoW, they are something to break up the grind and enjoy and not turn into part of the grinding machine.

Been using the LFG group in game and that’s been good finding groups.
Should be all we need

I disagree.

I hope RDF is implemented into Wrath Classic.

Edit: also, you’re analogy is terrible. WoW dungeons and ice cream? Do I need 5 people to eat ice cream?

fine then

It’s fun getting ice cream with your family of 4 other people but it’s not fun when it’s every single meal.

Nah, it was great and Wrath was much better off with it.

Bad take. Bad analogy

I think RDF needs to be implemented for 1-70 zones I don’t find it a must for 70-80 seeing as those areas will be populated.

This analogy makes it seem like dungeons are a treat or reward, but they’re not. They simply part of the content.

While I don’t think no RDF will matter very much for the next few months in Wrath dungeons, the old world ones will be completely dead. I leveled some characters in the original Wrath before RDF. You were just not getting groups for anything before outland. I know you don’t NEED those dungeons to level, but they’re nice to do. Since I originally started in TBC, I didn’t even get to see places like SFK, RFK, RFD, and BRD before RDF because nobody was running them. Especially on Alliance.

So how about a gradual roll out of RDF. Have it be for all pre Wrath dungeons for now. Then maybe in phase 2 add Wrath normals. Then add heroics in phase 4. Phase 4 should be ICC. Which is where it was added originally.

Rdf is fine for normal dungeons. This helps alot of areas that are pretty void again like lower dungeons. Even the rewards are fine. Problem is heroics and they shouldnt be included til before ICC patch where the rewards that were given were meant to be … a catchup mechanic.

I agree. Questing is the proven method to level in this game. People who want to dungeon grind are looking for an easy and lazy way to hit max level.

Wait so you’re saying because you can have ice cream for every meal you feel like you have to? What a bad analogy

:man_facepalming:

Right, so being able to actually do dungeons and meet people while also questing using a system that actually existed in Wrath is bad?

But paying Blizz $40 to skip 70 levels of the game is fine?

It’s this kind of hypocritical, inconsistent nonsense is why anti-lfd arguments can’t be taken seriously.

I agree with you but level 1-70 if you have a dungeon quest you are certain to not get it done without RDF once Wrath drops. And dungeon quest leveling up imo are vital

The group finder they put in is bad. Tt’s confusing and doesn’t match people to the right roles or dungeons.

Put in the group finder like M+ where you post what dungeon you are going too and join it.

What if…other people like running dunge…sorry, eating the same ice cream over and over with different people in an efficient way?

Sorry, but other people play the game too that have different views on the word ‘fun’.

I don’t personally have much riding or RDF being in or not, I don’t like the auto teleport feature but i’m okay with playing an expansion (not cataclysm) as it was and didn’t ask for changes for vanilla or TBC either.

The interface they put in however seems very clunky to me and I understand it has value on Mega Servers because people just slam down spam in LFG constantly and it’s a flood that drowns out everything but on normal servers we just don’t really use it aside from having to get in to use LFG channel to find people like we always have, it’s kind of clunky for us by adding that extra step.

Because people are not going into their talent trees and selecting their role. This should 100% be autod in by talent choices so it cant be bypassed.

Y’all are going to tell me that the dungeons currently now don’t have that more wholesome going on an adventure feelings more so than the random queue madness that is in retail?

Queue up, don’t say a word explode everything in sight and queue again straight up until you’ve done every dungeon 10 times before you hit max before you do them all over again.

Y’all just want to have an easy ride on the dungeon life

I get your analogy, but it’s a stretch lol. I agree that in the spirit of the how WoW was in the early days, dungeons were not meant to be farmed non stop. The game has changed a lot over the years and farming dungeons in the form of mythic + is the main activity for a lot of WoW retail players.

I do share you opinion that dungeons, in a classic type of MMORPG, were not an activity designed to be farmed non stopped. But people with the 100% min maxing optmization 99% parse might strongly disagree with that mindset. Some people feel a pressure to optimize every day in WoW, and farm as many heroics and badges that they can in 1 day.

I’m going to assume you are joking, because I can’t imagine anyone actually thinks this

Believe it or not, some people are against RDF, AND against the boost.
