RDF vs LFG

So,
Just to be clear,

We are removing RDF (a wotlk system)
In favor of retail version of LFG tool (retail system)

But the people wanting RDF (wotlk system) are the ones who should go back to retail?

Classic is supposed to be a recreation of the game we played. Private servers & its large playerbase are the entire reason classic exists (nostalrius etc)
And all pservers did was recreate the game for us. Which is exactly why this entire thing started. So now that we got to wotlk you want to throw out systems and not offer services (FC/RC) that wrath offered?

Pov: you wait 15 years to replay wrath on official servers then follicle challenged Brian Bumham & those he confers with decide to gut core features so you plead on forums where most everyone agrees its a bad idea but get ignored anyway.

P1 doesnt need RDF

But good luck getting groups in later phases lvling alts 1-70 zones

RDF greatly effects alts. We just leveled vanilla and tbc zones a bunch of times recently & RDF lets you break up that monotony. Helps encourage people to try tanking or healing roles as well. I remember my first time tanking was because RDF made it easy to give it a shot + bonus que is fast.

The LFG on beta is redundant. There is a REASON you are forced to use it before you can use LFG chat. Its because otherwise no one would touch it & just use chat cuz its faster.

Funny how RDF doesnt force anyone to use it and even its most ardent detractors admit they will use it if put in the game. Thats just how good it is.

RDF needs to come in at some point for wotlk classic. 3.3 existed for an entire year of wotlk lifespan, half of it.

Also RDF isnt CONTENT. The dungeons are the content. So this being based on 3.3.5 means it should be there from the very start. P1 not having it is a fair compromise, but its gonna get bad in p2 onward with no RDF trying to level alts. You will lose players at that point. “They wont be missed” a lot of the anti RDF say, but you guys arent actually a part of this community so no one cares what you think :joy: retail boys got their LFG tool in you should be proud of your abomination.

The best argument anyone has ever provided as to why LFD shouldn’t be in is that it was a later patch, not in at launch. But we’re playing on the final patch anyway, so this quickly busts. Fact is that unless realm populations are addressed, a fleeting pipedream, then we need cross realm LFD. This is not to say we want LFD. It is to say that we NEED LFD because no other solution has been done.

Yes Blizzard is finally closing unnecessary realms but it doesn’t help small realms not being closed. All those players have done moved to the mega realms. They’re also stupidly opening up new realms which means more people will leave us to reroll on those. The XP/level boosts were more wasted opportunities. They could have put these on the smaller realms to create an incentive to go there… something that has yet to ever exist. But they put it on all realms, meaning players will use them to move to mega realms, not smaller realms. Everything they do makes things worse for us, not better.

You’re right OP. Not including RDF is a clearly anti-social decision meant to keep players from enjoying the wrath classic experience they want.

The certain blizzard developer and anti-rdf crowd are just being anti-social in the false name of “socialization”.

If the LFG tool was quality I would be willing to try it. But its trash.

So just take the L and give us RDF.
