imagine being a dps, sitting in a 35 minute queue, and then queuing into a dungeon and the tank and or healer leave or the players are afk or bad
with the new system you have much more agency over picking and choosing your group members and there is still an ease to creation. since implementation, I’ve been able to both find and join all content this week and it’s been great. This includes all raids and daily heroics.

How do you know the player you’re picking is good and not going to afk inside?
inspecting them at adal after inviting them, or at least being able to pick and choose is much better.
How does inspecting someone entail they wont just AFK. That is not a logical conclusion.
the interface is horrible, I can have my warlock queue as healer and tank so that’s cool, and there is nothing stopping people from being bad, afk, or just dropping out after x boss anyway. The whole experience is lack luster IMO and it takes longer to find people for anything that isn’t current content.
Then you requeue and teleport out and continue what you’re doing until the party is full again. I know you anti-RDF people don’t understand simple concepts, but c’mon now, this one is easy.
the new one doesn’t even work. It stalls at searching and then you cannot get out of that searching unless you exit the game completely. The new system sucks a$$
He’s also admitting he will gatekeep newer players and only invite players who are overgeared for the content, which is why RDF is a good thing because it prevents this type of toxic behaviour.
thanks for the response, if i had to check your post history I imagine it would be pretty jaded. obviously people can go afk in any format the game presents itself with, you are bringing nothing valuable to the conversation but thanks for the free bump

While I agree for now I’m waiting till like mid wowltk to give a judgment on it leave it to the players to start min-maxing everything end-game content-wise for the worse + gatekeeping making it harder for newer players to join into end-game content I’ve absolutely loved using it for leveling tho so far still it feels too early to tell if the new RDF will work for the better.
yes, this would all happen in RDF as well. i agree they need to tune the interface and disable the option for tank or healer if you’re say, a hunter but otherwise its been much faster than RDF and much more agency over group creation etc, especially with new loot rules such as 2SR MS>OS and GDKP etc.
My post history indicates nothing of such, but that has nothing to do with the topic at hand. I was merely contesting your viewpoint of a solution that is not actually a solution and pointing that out. Perhaps actually try and comprehend what I typed the first time?
obviously we dont want your collective 70 boost coming to sunwell, but there is the option for new player friendly in the group finder which I always use.
im not saying its horrible im just saying it sucks for anything that’s outside of current content, I’m lvling alts and it takes a good chunk of time to find anyone so much so that by the time a group is formed I’m at the tail end when it comes to exp and all the mobs are green or grey
Quick way around that, when it stalls out and fails to search for groups, open chat and type “/reload ui” without the quotes. That’s been fixing the search issue’s for me, but such a pain in the neck having to do that anytime you want to search for groups.
Not saying that’s a good solution either, this new system is a piece of garbage, and it’s terrible that they aren’t just putting the proper LFG system in, but our only choices are just deal with this garbage system, or play private servers.
