"RDF ruins community"

You’re proposing that players should be forced into playing on a different realm?

Maybe you could post in that thread instead, but I am arguing that Blizzard need to take a top-down approach to rebalancing the realm populations.
Because it is way out of control at the moment, and it’s really harming the game.

I am providing the reasoning for why this is a critical issue for the playerbase, but they’d need to come up with a fair way of doing it.

No, you brought this up in this thread.

You’re literally suggesting that Blizzard should force players off their realms and onto new ones, which, let’s be honest, won’t happen anyway. But, that is a TERRIBLE idea. Thank goodness you are not in charge of that stuff.

The main reasons players are calling for RDF are to remedy issues that are largely caused by extremely bad player distribution.

Unfortunately RDF brings with it a number of other issues, which in my opinion, hurt the game such that it’s not worth having RDF.

Just proves you’re part of the cancerous community is all. But you’re probably part of this whole “woke” crap so no point in even arguing anything.

The main reason we’re calling for LFD is because it was in the original expansion. It WILL help players on low-population realms, too, though.

Can the Pro and Anti factions all at least agree that the system currently in use for TBC is woefully inadequate for Wrath?

As long as I don’t have to spam chat every ten seconds to keep my message visible I’m going to be happy.

Yes but it’s not the worst thing ever.
I’d be happy if they added a realm-only listing of groups LFM. (You can imagine)

RDF in the original WotLK was cross-realm, teleported you to the dungeon, and had a bunch of other features like “luck of the draw” buff, extra incentives/rewards etc…

  • It was only across your battlegroup, not every realm
  • It DID teleport us to the dungeons, but how is that any different than using summoning stones, except the maybe 5-10 feet to the portal?
  • “Luck of the draw” buff? - Nevermind, I remember what this is. However, with the idea of being able to control your buff in ICC, what’s the difference?
  • I’m pretty sure we’d all be fine if no rewards were provided

You’re splitting hairs.
10 realms or 50 realms, whatever. The point is that you never encounter the same person twice.

Teleporting to dungeons instead of travelling to dungeons removes a small, but not insignificant part of gameplay.
Ironically enough, some of the WPvP fights outside the dungeon can be more fun than the actual dungeon.

Yeah, that’s all I need. I dont care about your dead servers

It’s a significant fact. And with today’s server counts, we’d likely only see 4-5 realms per battlegroup, rather than 10-20 as we originally had.

That’s also not true - I did several times.

Glad to see you’re a team player!

I’m obviously in favor of RDF, but I’m not some anti-social weirdo either. All I want is to get my daily badges. I plan to heal so I don’t think I’ll have it as rough as DPS. That said, I also have no desire to watch chat scroll by when my friend list runs dry. Since my friend list isn’t like it was back in 2009, I’m bracing for some long waits.

Yeah, for my team. I dont care about your team.

Happy to hear it, champ.

man my friend you are far too gone to be reasonned if you think a dungeon grouping tool will make any changes to those statement

Yeah fair enough.

You really want to find a guild of players who run dungeons so you can pad your chances of finding a group quickly.

Unfortunately finding guilds gets way harder when people just click the RDF button instead of finding groups with other players.

Glad you came around to agree with me

Honestly, it’s not the random people in dungeon groups I worry about. My fear is that I miss out on badges, which makes me miss out and fall behind on 213 gear, and then it gets harder to find raid groups.

If you’re on the gear progression curve finding a raid group will be easy. Once the gap widens, look out.
