I’d say you’re conflating chat-based communication during the course of an instance with social experience.
When people find themselves grouping with the same other people multiple times over the course of several days, this can lead to shared social experience, which has a psychological impact and helps to form bonds.
RDF reduces the likelihood of this, greatly. Indeed, it’s a decent reason to say, “If you want RDF, go play Retail.” Because this is one of, if not the single biggest differences between Classic and Retail.
That is only IF those people want to be social. Most would just like to do some content after getting off work and going to bed, for work the next day.
Actually, it doesn’t matter whether they want to be. It’s a shared social experience, regardless.
Same applies to rdf…

It is up to the people, make what the experience is…not the tool.
Who cares though? You get a dungeon geared character on a dead server.
You’ll eventually move either now or later, even if that move is to quit.
The activities on this forum would probably change. The subject matter at least.
exept when the tool, like LFG, promotes anti social behavior, it leads to folks not using the tool and in some instances, not playing the game anymore… which seems to be a factor in not seeing people in the world. which is what they try and tell you LFG is for… to force people into the world and to create FORCED social interaction. none of which is occuring.

As a hunter dps, you should know how hard it is to find a group with LFG.

I am anti RDF but calling people who disagree with you a liar isn’t constructive.
It just makes us more divided.
I need a break from all of the bullying going on here.
It’s sad that we can’t come together as a community and solve these issues without name calling and asking people to “mass report” the people they disagree with.
