You know it’s really weird that so many of you are actually trying to garner support and convince Blizzard to implement it, cause they won’t.
This has already been beaten to death quite some time ago. We already know why it shouldn’t be in the game(Blizzard already solidified it into one of their “pillars of Classic development”). Coming here trying to re-open the argument with the same talking points is useless.
The community is overwhelmingly against it and just because it looks like you have an ounce of support and there’s lack of opposition here right now is because people are done talking about it. Get over it, good lord. Go play retail if you want RDF, along with everything else that was brought into the game that we all know you’ll complain if they remove. Cata classic, #almostNOchanges. What a joke.
Naw, it was a landslide of people in opposition against it when it was first brought up and talked about thru and thru, that’s not an opinion, that was very clear. Clear on the forums, youtube videos, comments on the youtube videos, the subreddit, trade chat, ect.
Yea, that’s why the developers wrote a 4 page essay and put it up on the battle.net launcher before wrath launch, including in that one of their PILLARS of game design(community driven design) which clearly singled out RDF and removing it from WotLK
Yea kinda like how when blizzard removed flying in WoD it was pointless for people to complain right? They totally didn’t cave 6 months after and add pathfinder right? Or like when they spent 10 years saying they’d never make vanilla servers right? They totally didn’t cave to pressure right?
Cringe post. Weird hill to die on. It’s literally a wrath feature.
They’ve already contradicted their “pillars” numerous times. The Classic devs are clueless, they should poll the people playing the game. From the beginning of this project, we were told they were going to “partner with the community” on some of this. I guess 5 years later is better than never for them to actually live up to that.
Poll the people playing the damn game. We don’t care about some garbage philosophy you developed back in 2017 because of some loud, obnoxious nobodies on the forums telling you they wouldn’t play if you didn’t give us an exact replica of the Vanilla game. Those people are gone, they were never going to be satisfied. Listen to the people playing the game.
Why would it be weird for players to request things they want from developers in the game they play? Even things that the developers don’t want. I mean, wasn’t the very idea of Classic once in that position?
So why are you bringing it back up?
I don’t know who we is but I think it should be in Wrath Classic so that seems like, your opinion man.
Okay, so then why are you doing that?
Debatable.
I’m curious how you might know such a thing.
This seems like a failed solution if a player dislikes retail but likes Wrath and feels that their Wrath experience could be enhanced by having RDF; a Wrath original feature.
Whatever the case, thanks for keeping the topic in the limelight.
I have stop playing wraith a a few weeks in to wraith now Only sub to play some dragonflight with friends and not feeling that game as well. So they pretty much lost a player unless they do a New SoM or RDF with fresh servers.
There is no pressure, were you guys not around when this was first talked about and hammered over?
The amount of support for RDF right now is a miniscule fraction of the opposition against it at that time. So unless you can rally up tens of thousands of players in an outcry against it, it’s not gonna happen.
If you don’t like RDF, then don’t use it. You’ll still be able to form groups manually. I just want to be able to use an authentic WotLK feature like I did in 2009-10.
10k+ upvotes lol? Yea you guys must have not been around when we went over this. Youtube video after Youtube video some with a hundred thousand views in opposition against it. Comment after comment, post after post.
Why are you acting like we are dismissing you guys as a part of the community and not paying attention to your desires. This is about making dungeon groups more accessible, it’s just we’ve already been over that RDF isn’t the way we’re going to approach that problem.
And “we” is the community as a majority. If you want to know it’s already been talked about plenty. If we want to make dungeon groups more accessible it’s going to have to be done by something that doesn’t hinder community involvement mechanics.
I know such a thing because the support for RDF here is relatively small and the opposition is even smaller, in comparison to the huge opposition to it not too far back. Logical conclusion is that it’s just not relevant, likely because it’s already been talked about and talked about and talked about. And Blizzard already took their stance, against it.
What is still relevant, and what I will bring back into the limelight is the fact that some people are having issues forming dungeon groups, lets talk about that.
