I’d rather it drop right now today. ICC is months away and I want to level an alt and actually enjoy the experience with other players instead of mindless solo questing like I have been since release of Wrath. Dungeon groups were a bit easier to find the first month of Wrath but it has slowly dwindled down to where it is now. Its very hard to fill a group unless you’re level 80.

What a lot of people don’t realize is blizzard said they would not release it before the icc patch. Given the latest community council blizzard meeting they said they were in discussion on RDF as at first they did not see any reason to add it but as of now they are seeing more benefits to adding it. If they weren’t going to add it they would have flat out said no. But this is also blizzard and they could just be gaslighting people into thinking it’s coming. Either way it is being “discussed”
They will probably wait to see the sub count drop post TOGC release.
They are concerned within 2 weeks of release people will realize it is only 1 hr of content max, then its back to raid logging or Ulduar for the 20th+ time…
If subs drops, they will release it within 4-6 weeks post TOGC to keep people subbed for ICC. They know after ICC is farmed sub count will plummet and want to cash in while they can.
From what I heard it seems like it’s only going to be for normal and leveling dungeons.
Which is fine. Basically it’s like it’s on retail.
I don’t like it.
But I can compromise and accept it.

How is that different from now? The current dungeon finder doesn’t help new players at all.

Its not different. I do agree with some of yall on some basis.
There is no dungeon fight that is 1 to 1 teaching how to fight malygos. Even the drake riding has little to nothing in common between the two fights. There is no combo points in occulus and the abilities are different.
As it stands i have difficulty doing more than the heroic + daily, its difficult to join a normal group as no tank realistically under 4k gearscore can hold a 5k gearscore dps.
The system is flawed and has glaring issues that will only get worse as the balance of new to end game players doesnt mix right now properly.
Well in retail it includes heroic dungeons, so yeah if it’s consistent with retail that’s fine. Especially blizzard jammed H+ into wrath.

Which is why it should have been implemented from the start.
From what I remember, the ICC dungeons are more difficult than the phase 1 and 3 dungeons.
There is going to be a massive influx of players for ICC and it would behoove blizzard to prepare for that. Most won’t see the Lick King raid. But they WILL get to experience the chase which is my favorite wotlk dungeon encounter.

Yeah I don’t know if they will include heroic. They are kind of settled on not allowing people to spam dungeons for emblems, especially since epic gems will be available that patch, but we’ll see.

I don’t get what you guys are protecting when you rally against RDF, the majority of the player base is on 10 realms (being generous) and there’s next to no social interactions in the rare case you do find a group for what you are looking for.
The wow classic timeline is a bizarre one, we have some features from wod, cata, a shadowlands (soon to be dragonflight) client and somehow we’re still falling for the “this came out in x patch last time so it’ll come out in x patch this time” excuse

Which would continue to show a bad understanding of how the game is playing out. The value of those gems is going to tank day one, there’s people sitting on huge stock piles of badges and badges are super easy to get, not to mention spamming RDF isn’t even relevant unless someone is trying to do more than what 14 heroics a day?

Yep. Wow, both teams have dangled hope before for “1 more block of 6 months for added value” too many times.

Well that and its summer. Sub lapse is basically for sure lol. I do that with that mmo’s anyway. Even weekend semi binge play sessions to catch up fall off really. Grass is touched, the sun is seen…all the go outside meme’s apply lol.

Are you on Era at all? I am on the whitemane group now, we should do some BG’s if you are. I got a rogue I am gearing now. Its been a fun experience. Its alliance side. Also leveling leveling a new paladin, miss my old one, he and my mage and druid and warrior and all my other alts are stuck in Wrath (puke)
