RDF doesn't make the game more fun, it just makes it easier

what epics do you get out of dungeons in wrath… Dungeons are for Pre raid BiS and rep… all the gear will be quickly outpaced by raid gear

So if nothing matters a game is a single player game? Also raid finder is not a Wrath feature so no.

Running heroics does nothing really for the masses. Raid finder I am all on board of not having. level through RDF I am in huge favor for.

Okay so why is raid finder bad? It’s the same logic, you don’t have to use it.

because it does give you free gear that is better than heroics. Also RF has a safety net whereas when you use RDF or go there by mount you still ahve to comeplete the eaxct same difficulty. RF is a easy mode. RDF only make it easier to get to dung and group. The dung is the eact same.

RDF and raidfinder are the same. If you’re for one you’re for the other.

Dungeons are already just a chore to get badges and early gear, especially in Wrath where they turn into 10 minute speedruns very quickly.

Everyone’s of course welcome to their RDF opinion (pro/anti/whatever), but lets not pretend dungeons, or their participants, matter any more than in battlegrounds.

the case could be made that because raid finder requires the content to be dumbed down so much as to overcome the lack of coordination required to defeat the encounters on a normal level.

you can put raid finder in and gues what… I WONT USE IT. I will raid with my group

Answer these.

Is RF easier than normal mode raid?

Is RDF dung lvl 80 heroic the same difficulty as the lvl 80 heroic dunegon would be without RDF?

RDF and raidfinder are the same. If you’re for one you’re for the other.

lol if you are a sweaty player who runs with your guild for everything than yes it is more or less irrelevant to you. I, however, am never on when my guild raids so i depend on pugs, why should I have a harder time completing content than someone who is active in a guild. It just punishes people without the ability to raid with a guild not to have a group tool.

lets look at this from another point of view… the rep grinds in WotLK are real. you will need to run a lot of dungeons wearing the factions respective tabards… even after the gear is irrelevant then there is alts that have to do the same rep grinds.

why should we add possibly hundreds of hours to this process?

Nawh man, a real multiplayer game is questing alone not talking to another soul because you’re not a particular class or spec that the leveling groups want.

That’s the true online gaming experience

No truer words have ever been said.

Any player argument against RDF is mostly nonsense unless they admit their reason is tied to some form of gatekeeping, direct or indirect.

The real reason it isn’t in the game is that Blizzard knows adding it would absolutely reduce the amount of time it takes players to complete dungeon content by eliminating the unnecessary time spent finding, forming, and getting a group to the content in the first place.

RDF is simply a convenience, nothing more, nothing less.

Oh and to the OP - making something more convenient is not the same thing as making is easier.

The content that would be in RDF is already easy, all RDF does is remove some of the useless time sink that currently exists in fiding, forming and getting a group to the easy content.

Your position is just another form of gatekeeping, wanting to feel more ‘exclusive’ for getting more out of dungeons than someone with a lesser amount of time, not because you are a better player, but just because you have more time and / or a dedicated group.

RDF wasn’t the cause of the sub number drop. Realistically it’s probably way more complicated than that.

People already treat dungeons exactly like battlegrounds, its not some special bonding experience where you will meet all your new best friends. Almost all if not all dungeon runs I do I’m the only one trying to be social always to be left out. RDF is not the problem here its just people’s mentality when it comes to being social in the game. Your arguments don’t hold up either when it comes to people not trying to do good damage. Ofcourse they are, and there’s always vote kick incase someone isn’t actively playing.
Also heroics are so simple and not even a challenge.

Cataclysm was not well received cause the heroics showed everyone how bad they really were and a lot of them had a issy fit cause they wanna feel like big strong men and the game was being a big meany.

And to ensure players buy boost. Leveling with RDF would reduce boosts bought a little I am sure.

The numbers actually continued to grow after RDF was introduced. Anyone that says otherwise is full of it as there is data out there proving this.
