Gonna tell you guys why I’m anti rdf and why people asking for it are mostly wrong. All it will do is make it easier to get in dungeons with people that hold zero relevance to you.
You know how people treat battlegrounds like a chore just to get honor? That’s what happens to dungeons after rdf is added. People use it as a way to get carried to easy gear while barely playing. It’s not like you’ll be like “wow these heroics are so fun”… youll queue and do the daily, then log off or wait for your raid.
No one will try to do damage in groups after rdf is added. In your current groups, you probably make some attempt to do dps so you’re not labeled as bad right? After rdf people will just try to get carried and not do any damage so they can collect the rewards. Also dps WILL have 50 minute queues, tanks will leave parties after you waited 50 minutes for one at the drop of a hat. People will ninja loot constantly. People will vote kick anyone that they don’t want in their party(after that person waited in rfd queue an hour).
Cross realm Rdf is literally a means to easy purples. Nothing else. There’s nothing fun that it adds to the game.

I am confused why you believe the people I group with in the current group finder are somehow any more than bodies to me. I have a guild. I clear content with my guild. Anytime I run without them is merely to achieve something specific. You are not my friend. We won’t be friends. I probably won’t even read your name and if I do - it won’t be remembered. If your numbers are poor I vote to kick you. Just because I happened upon you selectively rather than randomly won’t change this.
RDF are or otherwise hasn’t changed player behavior. Gaming culture has simply changed. Purposefully being inconvenient won’t change it back. If anything I’ll run with LESS randoms because of the inconvenience factor.

You actually try to do damage in your current groups right? Because you care to some degree about being labled as a bad player. Once rdf is added and it’s all cross realm, that goes out the window. People will just press a couple buttons and not care. They will soft afk the way people do in battlegrounds.
I have barely run any dungeons other than getting raid keys. my gear from classic let me walk into KZ right away. I cant be bothered to try to find a group it takes forever and is just wasted game time which I would like to spend playing the game.
also when leveling I would like to have the option of spamming dungeons as a healer instead of playing a spec I dont want to play to do quests or waiting forever to get groups

People doing more dungeons is more fun than not. Doing things while in queue is more fun than sitting in a city spamming /4 or attempting to use Blizzard’s botched attempt at a tool.

I mean only to get it done quicker and go about my day. I don’t care if I am labeled as a bad player by someone I’ll never see or speak to again.
what if I promise to talk to my group and try my best? will you let me have RDF then?

Well, they JUST added a pvp version of the RDF so I’m gonna keep hoping and dreaming for it.

Playing the game = farming a heroic with random people while you press a couple buttons and no one says a word or cares if you exist. It also means sitting in queue for 50 minutes as a dps btw while you wait. It isn’t actually fun, it’s a means of convenience for fast purples. That’s it - it’s a fast way to get purple gear.
It’ll be like this anyway.
