Unfortunately according to blizzard’s own development Design Pillars, if rdf is “that one band” that makes or breaks the concert for you, classic may not be the game for you.
Have you logged into the game at all in the last month?
I most certainly appreciate your insight onto deciding what’s right for me, mom. You know me better than I know myself.
Yep. Last login was probably ~5 hours ago during my lunch break to farm some herbs for 30 minutes before my next meeting. And before that was at 6am today to run MGT for a chicken. Before that was last night to run BT with my guild. Before that was to do Anzu run. Before that was Mag/Gruul GDKP. Before that was Mag/Gruul on my paladin, followed by a ZA and Kara badge run. Before that to my bank alt to relist full bags full of crafting materials I gather across 2 mains and collect sub 700g from sales.
shoulda waited. blizzard just found out they dont need rdf to fix lowbie leveling, they need to buff xp 50% to get people out and doing nonstop dungeons
Again, this is a pvp alt and will be my main for wraith… I have literally 0 PVE gear.
Thanks for showing just how toxic you are to everyone else checking logs on my PVP alt.
Being jobless or working part time and being able to spend 15+ hours a day on a video game is not “EFFORT” and as a Video game all systems should be set to NOT benefit these type of players over “NORMAL” players as much as possible.
Your lil pow-wow with your lil friends came up with a solution that literally only benefits the sweaty. I’m sorry if thats all you care about, but clearly how much you guys care about dungeons you can’t be sweaty… so I’m dumbfounded by what your goals really are here.
um…no.50% exp buff is a temp stimulation to rush everyone into leveling ASAP.
RDF is a permanent accessibility tool for everyone.
Everyone will rush to print out papers instantly too if you only reload ink cartridges once every 2 years.
Bro, you don’t follow new meta?
No one cares if you got a good job, or happily married, or drive a nice car, or accomplished anything else of value. If you ain’t loggin, you ain’t matter.
This dude has been checking everyone’s logs for past days. Let the kid flex. If he thinks sinking in every living hour into WoW, while living in a basement filled with empty bags of chick fil a, is cool, let him be cool.
idk what to say.
I have a theory. And it also applies to retail folks. (And yes, I play retail too).
People who flex ingame, like, really flex, whether its logs, gear or rare collectibles, it just means that’s kinda all they have.
Like, how bad your IRL must be that you’re so hard set against providing accessibility to other players. Oh, cool, you got lotta gold and lotta gear. Cool glaives. Good for you. But why not let others have it too?
I mean he’s just here to derail all topics and spout hate where he can… talking about logs and don’t even play classic.
Upset that all anti-RDF arguments have been completely slapped down… the only argument AGAINST RDF is that it might dissuade some users from purchasing 70 boosts… as they can queue with other people leveling alts on other servers and level through dungeons.
Did the lack of rdf destroy your vanilla / tbc classic experience?
nope.
slippery slope argument fallacy. My pointing out that the majority of forum users are constantly triggered and complaining about not getting their way, is somehow an attempt to silence? no, and suggesting it won’t change my statement.
your bullet points are another fantastic example of the slippery slope argument fallacy, and just flat out not true.
lol what? my mid early 20s shadow priest did 3 yesterday just fine. I made some friends doing it.
lol what? every time i go out questing i group with other often random people doing those quests.
and once more I will point out the major flaw in your statements:
Did the lack of rdf destroy your vanilla / tbc classic experience?
nope.
You want retail, just admit it. They have that. This is a different game. And you can argue all you want but that isn’t going to change anything.
Big props to blizzard for finding a back bone against the small hive minded player base that thinks this is twitter and they can bully game devs into making the game easier for them to play.
Why are you lying? There is a 50% increase right now so duh everyone is leveling… Did ya try this before the 50% or are you anothe rperson WHO DOESNT PLAY CLASSIC trying to tell us all about classic?
That doesn’t make much sense RDF was never part of TBC or Classic. And no one is asking for RDF to be in TBCC.
Is there a community on a mega server? Nope, unless you count GDKP discord to be a community. Yes, you can form bonds with 20…30…50 players? Heck, you can’t form a meaningful connection with half of your guild (if large enough to matter). and if you think you’re besties with all 100 people, you’re not. You’re just a clown for everyone’s giggles.
and how would dungeon queue prevent that from happening?
Not having dungeon queue actually stops that from happening, as a lot of time is wasted on travel time. Or if those don’t want to travel, it hurts those who do.
Why do we have to pick one, when both options can co-exist.
Those who want to do level via RDF & Dungeons - go do that.
Those who want to solo only via questing - go do that.
Those who want to only do dungeons - go do that.
Um, no. I don’t. If I did, I’d be on retail right now.
Just because one tire has gone flat, I’m not going to buy a whole new car. I will fix the tire issue. Or, just because one light bulb went out, I won’t buy a whole new house. I will just replace the lightbulb.
God, I really hope you will get this simile. Otherwise it’d be sad.
That’s what I was thinking.
Yes, cool, for 1 month we will have a somewhat decent leveling scene ON BIG SERVERS (one-faction only).
Yes, sure, leveling is going to be fun during first month of Wrath. Maybe 2. Same as it was with Classic. Same as it was in TBCC. After that, it just dies out.
It’s not happening. You are just complaining and crying about the removal of something that most players dont want, and that the game designers dont want to give us.
They want us to have to communicate, travel, etc. Like you would in real life. They want classic to be more immersive as it originally was. They have retail if you want to play a lobby que version of the game.
My vanilla / tbc point was very valid but i see it went over your head so ill explain:
if the lack of rdf did not ruin vanilla or tbc, why will it ruin the same game in wrath?
Most players… all evidence would be against that statement… social media, and these forums prove majority of the players want RDF.
Already proven in 2 classic expansions with no RDF nobody communicates in dungeon groups… And why is it so important that you run to a dungeon 100+ times? RDF in or out doens’t make a THEME PARK MMORPG MORE IMMERSIVE… lmao… Arguably Vanilla WoW and all the “LMAO immersion” you claim it had was one of the WORST expansions… thats why more players like TBC and Wraith… it got rid of a lot of the annoyances that Vanilla had.
Um. no. I’m providing my feedback. Haven’t shed a single tear yet.
You say that, but I have statistics of like 7 community polls that say otherwise.
I’d love to see some numbers from you though of such a bold claim.
Will the lack of autopilot in new cars kill the sales of new cars of the most favorite/popular car line? No, it won’t. But having that autopilot will certainly make it better.
What you’re doing is taking away options from players just because you don’t want it. If you don’t want it, don’t use it. But be ready to face the consequences of your actions. But you don’t want consequences. You just want it to be your way. I want it both ways. See the difference?
yeah well theres a line that was crossed, and you are still proven wrong on all accounts by blizzards actions.
And please do not confuse the echo chamber that is the wow forums and twitter for th entire player base. (thankfully, people on the forums are starting to tell the 50 of you that keep whining on the forums that you dont represent everyone without fear of getting report banned)
Come to me to some ground to stand on when blizzard does what you claim they should be doing as a better business decision. And screaming / mocking a reason for blizzard doing what they are doing doesnt make it not true lol
…and just because you don’t like something that others may, you’d rather take it away (or support others take it away from others), than let them do what they like… I see. You sound like the entirety of GOP right now.
Umm, the people who are AGAINST RDF usually have THOUSANDS of WoW Forum posts, and the ones for are new accounts and first time posters…
We all came here wondering who in the #@$@#$@# is blizzard listening too about removing RDF… thats why we are all here.
So no bud, I’ll use my eyes and ears and my EXPERIENCE from playing the game that RDF is a needed feature even in Vanilla and TBCC.
Blizzard is removing RDF just like their attack on players boosting other players as an attempt to increase their 70 Boost sales… they also know that NOBODY is going to play a Cata Classic so they have to get as much money as they can in WOTLKC… I will even tell you right now 100% the phases are going to be LONG and drawn out in WOTLKC so they can milk those sub numbers to.
What are you rambling about consequences for my actions??
And “i dont want it my way, i want it my way” is all you said.
Adding RDF is your way, unless you are suggesting they can somehow remove manual group formation from the game lol.
I don’t want it my way, I want it the way the game devs want it.
If they want to add rdf I will support that, because it will be for good reason.
If they want to remove it (news flash, they do and they did), then I support that because that is what they have decided makes a better game.
I love how you guys are arguing about something that has already been decided and isn’t changing.
And I love how you guys will all still play the game anyway and give them your monthly allowance.
