RCR Abuse now coming to light

Funny. Isn’t that what folks complained about with manual reporting? Took too long for GM intervention?

I admit, I don’t know how long the tickets take to be answered in-game. I do, however, know that my ticket I opened on the forums was answered in 10 minutes.

I imagine there are several variables at play.

Right Click reporting isn’t a problem. Automatically dishing out a punishment without a review is. Doesn’t matter if you are innocent you still weren’t able to talk for a week.

Record breaking profits for Activision Blizzard but we fire most of our customer service staff heuhuehuehuehue.

Blizzard’s CS department was untouched by the recent layoffs.

The automatic squelch doesn’t last a week. If you were silenced for a week, it was handed to you by a GM.

No, what is a problem is folks like yourself make stuff up whole cloth, hoping nobody calls you on it. If you were “unable to talk for a week”, then you were silenced numerous times by actual GMs.

Good grief.

There’s no LFG tool. We have to spam chat to find friends. That’s the way it was done in the past. That’s the way it should be. You should only be squelched if a GM verified that you cursed or said something un-appropriate, wasn’t that the way it was in vanilla? Isn’t that the way it should be?

well squelches are not going to last a week though, and any that somehow did go longer than a day/few hours they have said is not the norm.

ot–i liked the lock better :O)

Exactly. I hope everybody this happens to says something in the forums or on social media if this happens. It’s unlikely they had bots reviewing complaints or chat in vanilla, bliz shouldn’t start now as that wouldn’t be considered a feature of vanilla.

if it was a week it was not a squelch, it was a silence that a GM applied, did you have previous actions on your account?

And if it actually was, rest assured they addressed just that any occurrences like that were not the norm.

I’ve never been silenced or squelched I was just going by my average time of waiting for GM response to a ticket which is about 5-9 days.

How do you know it was not a silence( a squelch that turned into a silence)?,and don’t generalize me, I would support some Classic favored changes to it, but I also do not think it would be massively abused like many seem to claim.

They have also said that a day is most , and if somehow one went longer it was not the norm.

What did CS say when you sent in your ticket? Sounds like you got one of the rare cases that was not intended to happen.

I would have pushed it further and gotten a call back.

In any case, what happened to you is not the intended way of the system is supposed to work, it was an abberation, and they have said as much in the past.

i still would have gotten a call back and talked to someone, text does not satisfy me,
