RC as Aliance, Stocks as Horde

Fond memories of corpse runs just to play these two instances on opposing factions. Ruined of course by Dungeon Finder, of course.

RC seemed (to me) to be more of a pain due to the convoluted route and distance from the GY. Resulting gear was nice. Resetting and chain running for either was a challenge.

I love unconventional adventures such as this, but really the Stockades holds nothing for the horde.

Unless, of course, you get lucky with the rare spawn.

True that. And again, resetting till it is spawned is rough.

I would love to find an alliance 16ish group willing to corpse run-chain to RFC. Run it, reset a few times, ding a bit and head to WC. Should be possible without being camped too much the first few days after release.

Cannot recall ever doing gnomer on my horde toons (prior to dungeon finder) due to the distance to get there. Another that I am going to target repeatedly this time around if I go horde.

They had a teleporter in booty bay for horde to get to gnomer if I remember right

Cannot recall when that was put in. Was during vanilla?

Yea I’m pretty sure it was cuz I remember using it on my rogue I leveled in vanilla for my friend and I to duo the first boss in gnomer for the toxic shanker or whatever that dagger was called

Absolutely! Definitely more tame, but I remember spending many hours with a Horde group getting to and running deadmines. (PvP server). Had to battle our way in there after all the travel.

There was little to no reason to run these dungeons back in Vanilla as a member of the opposing faction.

The Stockade isn’t even worth it for wool as Horde since they get those wonderful, wool-rich refugees to murder.

You mean besides the fun of getting there and the pure enjoyment of running well designed content?

RFC didn’t have any blue items. Stockades is very worth it if you’re horde, you can boast some blue items unavailable to all the other horde players

There are really no boss drops in there except for the very rare spawn.

It was worth it during the AQ war effort.

On my 29 NE Rogue Twink on Kronos 3, I pickpocketed Stockades all day. Didn’t have a main and was heading back to Northdale so I had some fun there. There’s a lot more gold there than meets the eye. Probably 600g in a one month period. That Rogue was so decked out.

If only considering gear upgrades and money, okay, i believe it.

But for those of us who prefer running instances over questing, it’s the only option for several levels.

I suffer the questing until i can run RFC then park various toons at the entrance, ready to go at the drop of a hat.

the mobs in the catacombs basement of ravenhill cemetary (duskwood) drop wool and silk. and the black widow spiderlings next to the cemetary drop spider silk

sentinel cloak and the agi boots, forget their name, have dropped in there for me back in the day.

edit: feet of the lynx

FoTL are a world drop though I thought
