I’m self conscious of being so contrarian and critical as of late, but I think that The Stockades is at the very bottom of the heap when considering the otherwise indisputably well designed content that we have in Classic.

That is true. While leveling up on the hip pserver of last year, Feet o the Lynx dropped for me and went a long ways towards funding my 40 mount.

I suppose for a horde rogue with leveled lockpicking, making it to and parking yourself at the Stockades could make some sense.

You have to admit it is at least not COMPLETELY hall-like as TBC ones are.

(Yeah I reconsidered my “well designed” statement shortly after posting that and including stocks.) But they are stockades. Not much you can do with them.

I would love to find an alliance 16ish group willing to corpse run-chain to RFC. Run it, reset a few times, ding a bit and head to WC. Should be possible without being camped too much the first few days after release.

I remember making that naked corpse jumping run to run RFC at level with some friends on alts we were leveling. By the time we actually got to the instance portal, I think every horde player in Orgrimmar was there to kill us as we rezzed. We had so much fun. I think we probably had more fun just getting to the instance than we did running it.

The funniest part was when one of the group died and our paladin healer realized that he had never completed the quest to learn his rez spell. He had the quest, just hadn’t completed it yet. We never let him live that one down.

Cross realm did damage the community, but I doubt that giving players the option to sit in that nice, safe corner of their capitol city clicking on a menu then being teleported directly to the dungeon and back to that nice safe, corner of their capitol city when the dungeon was completed rather than actually having to go out into that big, wide world with all the risks that entailed did much to help the community, either.

Then again, I don’t try to claim that having to travel to the instance wasn’t an opportunity for social interaction.

I remember trying to get my paladin to RFC because one of the bosses dropped a cool looking sword that looked similar to the orc sword from Lord if the Rings. Never made it. Always go stomped into the ground.

Those Orgrimmar guards really earn their keep.
