The current way to find an RBG team feels like an 8 year old system that never got love to allow players to select a role and have the game autofill a 1/3/6 or 0/3/7 or 0/0/10 (good luck have fun no one gets a healer or tank) group based on which group setup(s)a player signs up for.
We deserve something between the entirely random Quick Match where my dumbass has 41,000 hp and can be set against new alts with 24,000 hp and the entirely cherry-picked, epically long setup time Premade Groups.
People that still want the best meta comp, top tier legendaries, and a 2500 xp lead can still use the Premade Group channel, sift through the advertisements, wait 18 minutes for the perfect class/spec/vers to show up, and play two games before someone has to leave and the group disbands.
All I’m saying is more options would be nice.
Also, allowing Horde vs. Horde and Alliance vs. Alliance in Quick Match Random and Random Epic would be stellar.
Both! My geared toon simply takes longer to kill in casual PvP, which I’ll openly admit I’m not great at, and my alts that I’d like to learn and practice in PvP get wrecked with 23,700 hp.
I can only imagine someone without a geared main looks at PvP as the season goes on and just nopes out due to not getting invites or having access to organized play at their level, both in gear and skill.
Just take rating requirement off gear and problem is mostly solved leave rated for guilds and teams otherwise defeats the purpose of there being rated bgs.
the problem with open queue is you are going to get really silly compositions. You might think that you dont care, but its AWFUL being grouped with the symmetra main who refuses to use comms, or listen, or stick with the group.
itll just add another RNG element to the game. Will you get matched with a group of players playing “good” rbg specs? or will you get grouped with an enhancement shaman, a combat rogue, 2 feral druids, a prot warrior tank… you get the idea.
