RBGs are my endgame content

…And the only reason i’m still subbed. Having a blast in them but pretty much have hated (the little) arena i’ve done this season. WPvP is practically non-existent as ‘content’ and the devs seem to be asleep at the whiteboard in the ‘new idea generation’ room.

…and as always, PvE content is mind-numbing. Bleh. You want me to move out of the fire for the 8th expansion? OK.

IDK. Discuss i guess. If you want. I don’t care.

Pvp will always be priority 4982 behind new cosmetic pets and other BS like that as long as Ion is in charge.

Pretty much. Sometimes i feel like it’s’ World of collect-a-build-a-bear Stuffed animal, achievement collection simulation’.

With a side of the same recycled raid with a new skin

and a single french fry of PvP content that accidentally slipped onto your tray.

Pvp content being a new arena every exp but somehow mirrors old arenas. Is there really much difference in the new bastion one and nagrand?

I have always been a casual random BG player. Random BGs are so fun and easy to jump into in my limited play time.

This expansion is basically forcing me to play rated, which so far hasn’t been terrible. So I am in the same boat with you. Arena isn’t fun at all to me, and RBGs can be fun, or they can be a huge waste of my limited play time. But its barely fun enough to keep me subbed. Although with how many weekly chores there are to maintain character power, I am already getting burnt out.

waddup cash. did you like my apathetic form complaint?

Nagand type arenas are the only ones I like. So I’m glad they aren’t adding another terrible one.

I was just looking at fourms at work and saw this lol post is 10/10

I love RBG’s but groups are hard to stick together

There’s no way I’d play this game if there were no RBGs.

Yeah, RBG is the only reason I’m still subbed as well. I actually like doing M+ too, but I didn’t push them early in the season when the rest of the competent players were leveling keys, so the handful of low keys I’ve done out of boredom had the worst players in history in them and made for an anti-fun experience.

I’ve made it to 2150 so far this season, I figure I’ll definitely be able to hit 2200, anything beyond that I guess will depend on how much I play and how well I adapt to playing against the top % of RBG players, so far I seem to be maintaining pretty well. Hoping getting fairly high rated this season will let me bypass terrible yolo groups and just always do well in RBGs with other competent players in future seasons, if not I’ll probably just quit WoW unless they fix M+ tuning/timing to where they’re as forgiving as BFA M+ was.

But yeah, I’m too old for raiding. Sitting for 2 hours holding needing to pee because it isn’t time for a ‘scheduled break’ while the RL squawks into Disc about the same 4 or 5 people needing to get out of fire for the 11th wipe in a row just isn’t fun for me anymore. I do better in smaller group content where I have some level of control over who I play with, instead of who the guild tells me I’ll be raiding with.

I feel like RBG takes more skill than Arena.

I think RBG and arena are different enough to where they aren’t really comparable on a level of which requires more skill, per se, but rather maybe how far you can get in each content with the least amount of overall knowledge. I think a mistake in arena can be more immediately costly than a mistake in an RBG in a lot of cases, promoting the need to play more perfectly, and I also think you run into learning curves a lot sooner in arena than you do in RBG, which would lead me to believe arena is probably the harder content to be good in.

However, would a 3k RBG team facing another 3k RBG team be a harder match than a 3k arena team facing another 3k arena team? I don’t know, I imagine both are very difficult.

Not by a long shot. There’s a reason you see so many 2100 rbg players sub 1600.

Arena takes no skill now that it’s fotm season, it’s just the same comp everytime. I think RBGs having a diversity of specs/situations makes it more skill based.

Arena has less room for error, and it’s harder to score kills. Like I said, there’s a reason there’s so many geared rbg players in low rated arena. Diversity in classes has 0 weight on “skill”. I’m not knocking rbg players, I think they’re decently fun myself. But don’t kid yourself that rbgs are harder. 1800 rbgs feel like 1400 arena.

Getting to 2100 is easy, i’ll give you that. But in higher mmr mathces, it’s incredibly intense and each person’s role is important because even losing one will determine the entire pace of the game.

No argument here man. I’m sure good rbg players are very good players. It’s just much easier to climb and get the gear in rbgs than arena.
