Raszageth Was A Good Villian

Raszageth had clear motivations and wanted to help her proto-dragon kin.

In some ways I hate that we killed her. Her visage form would have been amazing!

I kinda agree with this.

She wasn’t a complicated enemy but I think she could have been very well done if they’d not killed her and she’d continued to be an enemy alongside the other Incarnates.

Also yeah I’d have loved to see her visage form.

She actually has a visage form but it just wasn’t released to the public, but i had managed to find it.

I liked her a lot more after they filled her character out in the book.

Very much a Garrosh (doing terrible things because they genuinely think it’s the right thing to do)

Raz encounter is a lot better than Fyrakk’s.

Mechanics are more fleshed out. Phases are better organized. It makes better use of the environment.

The LFR version set a good bar. It was more about knowing what to do than the numbers you could pull.

I thought she was a bit annoying at first, but as time went on, and as we got worse and worse villains, I grew to really miss her.

She wasn’t actually a good villain, but after the Jailer, any amount of personality is a breath of fresh air

She’s even crazier in the novel. Raz was awesome and definitely a breath of fresh air after the recent spate of really boring villains. Her VA knocked that performance out of the park.

Raz was fine. I didn’t really mind any of the villains though, Jailer included. I actually quite liked him (especially his design. Holy bologna did he look cool). My only gripe with most of these new villains is that instead of giving them SOME kind of buildup across 2-3 expansions we just end up taking them out not long after introducing them. You don’t really care about something you don’t spend much time with. The Jailer (and Shadowlands in general) probably would have been fine if it had another half an expansion’s worth of content to flesh things out instead of rushing through everything. Same thing with Warlords (which I also really liked). I mean, did Raz and co even have a single mention before Dragonflight, even in some obscure bit of quest text? They just appear suddenly and then “poof”. So much for an interesting concept.

Fyrakk should have killed Alexstraza before we put him down. Possibly also the Ice dragon lady who turned coat, but if done right Ice Dragon lady’s redemption arc could have been decent. She could have also easily took us down from the inside with how fast we ust decided to trust her, alexstraza dies before Nozdormu and chromie add 200 new wrinkles to her face, before we go kill fyrakk in the goriest way we can think of. Ice dragon lady is stuck in some old proto dragon form plotting her revenge away.

Instead we got…not really a whole lot.

I loved that she was immune to Alexstasza trying to be all nice. But that’s my bias talking since I just do not like Alexstrasza and her many weird choices.

She was a simple villain but sometimes the simple ones are the best

She was mostly a living retcon.

I was mostly comparing her with the Jailer to start with which is a pretty low bar. :joy:

Raszageth is the best of Dragonflight’s 3 major Villains:

Sarkareth was just some pathetic soul fooled into thinking his father’s legacy was in Aberrus when all that was there was the failed legacy of Deathwing’s successors the Faceless Ones(who were a poor choice to succeed Deathwing as Scientists as they ended up destroying the mind of their predecessor with their Shadowflame-infused Elementium Armor).

Fyrakk was a volatile power-hungry bungler who not only had to be reminded of his own brilliant plans but was also too lazy to get a quick victory and ended up being banished to the Firelands for his efforts losing his axe containing Smolderon’s power in the process.

Raszageth was indeed a Garrosh with ideals rather than mindless power for power’s sake. She died for her ideals.

Sure…the five minutes she was there

Good villain? Nah.

Raszageth and the chicken arms had me unable to take her seriously.

To fast of an intro to basically dead to even care.

If they had her change form and really flesh out that tension it would have been better.

I also see people praising Iridikron as a villain.

Honestly… the only reason he gets a chance is they are trying to build him up. But for me it has failed before it began and now that he’ll be gone for most of the expansions till last titan… who is even going to care if he pops in a’la thanos or something lol

Sire Denathrius was a good villain. That guy should have been the long play. Not this thanos wannabe.

it is a shame we didn’t see her human form.

From what we’re learning about the Titans, she might have actually been right to do everything possible to remove their influence from Azeroth.

O.o how are you learning anything you are still stuck on a turtle that wonders the sea. Do the seagulls deliver mail to the wondering isle?
