Raszageth Was A Good Villian

That’s usually how thins go in WoW. See current love for WoD.

I’m sure the nathrezim already have their hands back in the cookie jars, I think he’ll reappear, just not necessarily soon.

It’s very true, since I made this neutral when I did a certain quest and got sent back to a starting zone I was never in on the original Gigabear

Assisting Dojacat with pic.

Actually I could imagine Razageth having crazy hair

The jailer was the best villain! No one can trump his shirtness madness showing his nips.

She was definitely more interesting than Fyrakk who turned into a big ol Deathwing 'memberberry once he hit the Shadowflame.

Just in case no one else acknowledges this, I will. Well done.

I agree Raz is a perfect model villian to serve as a baseline for all future villians and content.

As in the perfect worst examples of both a villian and a plot/narrative. If your villian and/or narrative is not leaps and bounds better than Raz, you need to go entirely back to step 1 and start over but do WAY better next time.

Raz and the DF plotline was fine if it REPLACED Cata or FOLLOWED the end of Deathwing at most. It is an pants on head bonkers stupid how we go from literally fighting off an alternate universe invasion in the Iron Horde to a universe and inter-dimension infinite respawning enemy with the Burning Legion to fighting off a void god (whose potentially as old as time or some nonsense) to fighting off a near god who had the means to literally rewrite and remake the literal laws of existence itself…

To helping a bunch of burned out planet babysitters who all got collective amnesia on where their home is until some dopey sentient rock woke back up and lit up a beacon regain their powers to be capable planet “guardians” again against a foe who literally was locked up for thousands of years in a cramped cave but somehow still was fed and cared for on account she didn’t die of starvation and thirst who, at peak power, had the power to make it rain really hard and she was backed up by her cult of naughty shamans.

Like FFS, this is a threat level that barely is worth a side quest in importance. If we had squires, even THEIR squires wouldn’t be challenged by this at our canonical power levels. The entire plot of DF is like calling in the combined Marvel and DC multiverses to stop a 5 year old from stealing a pack of gum from a gas station while the parent wasn’t looking.

This joke is grossly underappreciated

I call her the Scream Queen cause ole girl had some pipes compared to her sister. I’m glad we get to face her again in seasno four.

I miss her eyebrows :broken_heart:

I’ve missed this somehow. WoD was the second worse expansion in the game, after Shadowlands of course.

Regardless of if she was right to oppose the titans, she murdered mortals and revelled in it. She took pleasure from causing the pain and suffering of innocent’s for centuries.

She’s a villain regardless of her position on the titans.

I’d say one dimensional. She was just the mcguffin to releasing the other raid boss.

yea i agree… we didn’t stop them from being opened and could have just “knocked her out” and then fled before doing the finishing blow

Hahaha yeah I agree.

I do think though that the ever growing threat had to be toned down a notch because it was unsustainable.

Though while some applaud, I found these dragon incarnates to just be way too comical to remotely view as a villain.

Like you said, if it followed the events of Deathwing then sure but now; feels really out of place and just hard to get remotely invested.

In Legion when I started, I was like ‘‘ooo, gul’dan, I remember hearing about him’’ ‘‘oo, titans’’ things that I remember seeing as a threat, built up, had backstory established.

Dragonflight seems to have been merely a filler expansion that introduces a villain that ultimately we face in the last titan, the rest of it felt like a way to tone down things and build up again that threat level. Didn’t really enjoy it but oh well.

This would have been neat. Capture her and then we could question her about the other incarnates. Would have been a great time to show her in a smaller prison forced into her visage form.

Maybe have her freedom be a prerequisite of Vyranoth helping us against Fyrakk.
