So I’m fairly new to the Hunter class, but I’ve been getting really into it lately. I’m an Undead Hunter and of course as any newbie Hunter I wanna know what the RAREST pets you can get are. I don’t mean the regular rare but the absolute RAREST pets that are out there.

Sounds like you want to get noticed. The thing is that the only really special hunter pets are the ones that are no longer obtainable, like the ooze pet. Every other pet that may have a super long respawn timer or something, but is still possible to get, you’re going to see a lot of hunters out in the world using them.
That only tells me what the different pet types are. I’m talking about the ones that are truly hard to get. Not like, takes x amount of hours of waiting, but a truly long or difficult means to obtain.
Rare tame is meaningless. They are just about waiting.
Those pets from Molten Front and MoP taming challenges are more interesting to hunters (given you do it when its current). You have to really apply all sorts of hunter skills to tame them.

whats MG horde like? that’s where my alliance are and people always leave my AOO groups if they notice they’re on MG because there’s legit no horde there. 
I plan on trying to get the Purple tinted Spider from Molten Front when I am of level to get. Thats the kind of pet obtaining I’m looking for.

Yes, I remember this one, it took me countless number of death and hundreds of golds for repair to finally tame it. And the satisfaction is paramount as a hunter.

The Purple tint from what I looked up is the only one like it, the others have easier variations to obtain from the World.
Just read the wowhead comments, Deth’tilac now scales up to 122 when you are level 120. Gonna be fun.

Ok I give you some suggestions.
- Only one of his color.
- Long spawn timer.
- Heavy traffic area (next to a quest NPC.)
Magria / Ankha / Ban’thalos
- Unique.
- Requires long quest chain to unlock.
- Heavily farmed by other Hunters.
- Unique.
- Requires quest chain to unlock.
- Requires the daily A Cleansing Song (which appears randomly)
- And IIRC, you won’t get the daily unless you’re revered with the Oracles.
- Unique.
- Requires this quest to summon him so if you completed it, you have to find someone who hasn’t to summon him for you.
- Unique.
- Requires hours of farming or thousands of gold for Fresh Talbuk Meat.
- Skill tame. There’s a certain order that has to be followed to tame it.
Lost Spectral Gryphon if Horde / Gon if Alliance
- Unique.
- PvP tame.
- Keeps first and last name after tame.
- Takes hours of killing yaks on Timeless Isle to spawn.
Skarr / Karkin / Deth’tilac (the Molten Front rares.)
- Unique.
- Very long spawn timers.
- Locked behind a long quest chain.
- Skill tames.
- Random colors.
- Only available during a very rare World Quest
- Unique color and skin.
- Long spawn timer.
- Heavy traffic area for questers.
- Heavily camped by other Hunters.
Sewer Beast for Horde.
- Keeps first and last name after tame.
- Hard to tame due to Stormwind Guards attacking you.
- Long spawn timer.
- Unique.
- Long spawn timer.
- Heavy traffic area.
- Unique.
- Heavy traffic area (killed by TLPD farmers).
- Heavily camped by other Hunters.
- Long spawn timer.
- Unique.
- Very, very rare spawn in Deadmines.

Word of warning about the molten front, the rares there scale to 120. On top of that one of the a spider rares will shred your hp in seconds. It’s the super fast one that scuttles up near the left ridge passed the perma flames.
Oondasta you will make lots of friends showing off that pet, especially while taming it

I have three pets that not listed in petopia. People ask all time were i got them. One is a really dark purple emu, the other is a white no color serpent with wings and last one is a turtle that is golden in color.
What is your Hunter’s name? I would love to see 'em.
Aww pits. My hunter tried during Cata and failed horribly. Too bad she still won’t be able to tame that. My hunter is pretty lousy =).
