Rank 14 wep let down

Overhauled by giving 20extra stam, and some more damage isn’t really an overhaul.

Adding things like cool effects would have been an overhaul.

These are the rank 14 weps make them do cool things.

There was just never a way they were going to have them be able to hold a candle to thunderaan weapons. They mixed felstriker and perdition’s blade for the rogue weapon… how in the world could any dagger, pvp or otherwise, hope to contend with that.

By simply making the rank 14 weps do similar things.

Make new rank 14 weps

Grandmarshal’s great Claymore new name new id new wep does new things.

Have PvP gear compete with PvE gear in quality / set bonuses?! If they let me post memes here I’d make one of you getting thrown out of a window for making an intelligent suggestion.

All the classic devs seem to know how to do is to slap stam onto PvP gear as a “fix”.

Mega let down. I noticed on the AQ20 2h Sword they added 1% extra attack proc. Why couldnt we get that on all the 2h r14 weapons?

Because that would have made sense.

I don’t understand why they couldn’t add unique set bonuses to the PVP gear either. All the new Tier sets in SoD have had entire new (overpowered) bonuses for multiple specs.

Every class has some sort of weakness, or disadvantage in PVP. Why not soften some of that via their PVP set bonus.

Example:

Paladin: Your Seals can no longer be dispelled
Hunter: You range attacks no longer have a dead zone for 10 sec after being struck by a physical melee attack. Cannot occur more than once every 30 secs.
Rogue: Evasion now grants Cloak of Shadows

To say the rank 14 weps are a let down would be an understatement…

These are already slightly worse than BWL weps for most classes, let alone AQ40.

30 more stam means very little compared to weps like Dark Edge of Insanity which has a built in disorient effect, higher damage, 2% dodge and parry reduction and better stats (aside from stam)

At least make the 2h 4.0 chonkers.

Let down is an understatement like many other posted.

The updated versions isnt even better then AshKandy let alone Dark Edge of Insanity.

They should have release these weapons THIS PHASE.

They really let down the PvP scene in SOD.

And please for the love of god add feral attack power to something, please don’t make r14 useless to feral again…

I’m not surprised they didn’t make them too overpowered. R14 is so much easier to grind now, most of the currently R14 players will be casuals that grinded for the pretty armor lol.

Prolly the reason why, super easy to get to R14, just basically a time sink, no RNG really to it

Easier than hitting a loot pinata and having a weapon drop from it?

Statisically speaking, yes

Depends on how kind RNGesus is to you. 3 weeks or so to grind out the pvp weapon, vs 6 thunderaan lockouts in that time… and then there’s the free class weapons out of bwl. Either way, the thunderaan lockouts had a 2 month or so head start, so it’s more like 22 thunderaan lockouts compared to the pvp weapons, while the thunderaan ones are also massively superior. Ease of access doesn’t really count for jack if they put a time gate on being able to obtain them.

Well, in terms of 2handers, the Rank 14 weapons are more damage than AQ 2hander from C’thun on top of 61 stamina.

Not sure what else people wanted from them tbh.

Ret Paladins at least will 100% be using Rank 14 weapons in PvP unless we have Sulfuras.

Dark Edge > R14 weapons. That disorient is huge in a burst meta. It also comes with 2% expertise and a higher top end. The R14 weapons are ok but there should’ve been something more to them.

you’re right, I accidentally compared the original Dark Edge of Insanity to the SoD R14 weapons.

That’s the main issue, the rank 14 weps should be equal to aq 40 weps or slightly worse or better either direction.

But instead they are closer to bwl weps but slightly worse.
