If you got to watch any rank 1 push stream tonight it was definitely a treat. Probably one of the most fun times in this season was watching some really high level games and watching everyone’s push

For real. The biggest failure of this xpac is how stale the seasons got. Really underlined the lack of balances as well.
did everyone like the 7 seasons or w/e in Legion? I didn’t play but it seemed like a nice change
I’m personally a big fan, every season except for the last 2 had a changing meta
yes a lot
season length (15~ weeks) typically kept the ladder from going stale and pushed people to q up very often
the meta changed a lot but there weren’t often so many completely inviable specs as we’ve seen this last 1 meta (3 seasons lma)

Way more constant tuning which felt nice. Like you said not really much has changed in the last few seasons of BFA lol
they teased us in bfa s1 when they were making changes weekly and im psure they even made a post saying they were going to be tuning pvp bimonthly or something like that
then we got radio silence for nearly a year and a half lol

pretty sure it was not long after bfa started that they fired a bunch of people and pretty much disembled the ‘pvp department’ they had pretty much fine tuned through legion
afaik wow esports being pushed was the only way they could justify putting so much energy and manpower into such a niche portion of the game
and when they had to let people go that was an obvious choice as it didn’t do nearly the numbers they’d hoped for
now we have 1 ‘pvp systems’ designer (chris kalecki) who’s an absolute moron and often seems more spiteful twords the playerbase than passionate unlike holinka
and pretty much nothing else
iirc this was around the time holinka just happened to go to the project that fell through and iirc dmachine was no longer working on wow stuff?

ah yes mr. pvp scaling is a background system that players shouldnt feel anxiety over or feel concerned about while showing us a condescending image of two stick figures as if we didnt have the double digit iq required to comprehend the image
