Seems like that one was too difficult to you so you waited for what you thought was low-hanging fruit. In particular you’re steadfastly ignoring the point that even if you’re right about the argument that the specs were too similar the way they “addressed” it created far more numerous and pressing issues than it ever saw before.
In any case you evidently don’t know Toxiktraktor. He’s the only person I have on ignore on the forums because a) he’s habitually dishonest, b) he’s incapable of holding a sincere opinion or discussion. I revealed all the posts of his in this thread and confirmed that nothing has changed, so I have no qualms about demonstrating what a dishonest person he is by posting his youtube content.
He has a WoW channel too where he has videos from a couple years ago talking about how SV was not a melee spec in classic but now he says they were all satire and SV was meant to be melee all along. Since he can’t confront that contradiction and own up to his hypocrisy I don’t engage in discussion with him.
P.S. Toxiktraktor, if you’re going to try to call out others for having a “mid life crisis”, maybe it’s not such a good idea to air out your deeply personal troubles on public social media so as to expose it as obvious projection. I’ll spare you further embarrassment because I think you know which video I’m talking about.

You say im dishonest because you really believed memes and jokes I made of a hunter spec in classic WoW and when I told you it was for luls you took literally 6 months to understand that. Thats not dishonesty, thats just you lacking cranial stimulation.

You take things out of context when you get cornered because your ego is so massive, you cant deal with being ratioed or being wrong cause you think your word on a spec you dont even play holds merit. Its literally a tactic people do when they lost an argument. You try to resort to assassinating someones character because you cant do anything else productive.

You forget the actual video of me playing MM where all I do is cast aimed shot in a joking way. I mean I made a video buying the stupid cat store mount for luls but that must of been only meant to be taken serious because reasons. Or the video where I say how to play this class but show no footage of me showing you how to play the class. or the video of me showing off how “viable” the spell hunter build is. You really cant tell a joke from reality. Maybe you should touch some grass yes? As I have clarified with you a many of times, the OG survival trees focused on Melee more, hence where the meme its a melee hunter comes from btw, and I will stand on that stance for ever since well, thats what it was. But it still was mainly used as a range spec. Need me to make it any more apparent without repeating myself yet again? I know how hard it is for you to keep up.

Lol? It looks like a complete disaster. Even many people who like melee SV such as Marcelian have been trashing it and its playerbase has once again evaporated. It’s now down to 3.5% of raiding Hunters. Meanwhile on WotLK it’s over 80%. The results are clear: ranged SV is a better spec.

Idk bra, im having a good time with it. also there are more players in wrath classic currently as we are at the end of the expansion and people are playing the FOTM in wrath until they all go MM like last time. This isnt how you make an arguement.

i imagine your interest in hunter must be evaporating too then. or maybe not, at this rate its looking like mm logs wont be very competitive for the upcoming raid tier
Blizzard can barely balance 3 hunter specs as it is and you guys would like 4th spec. It’s better then to rework hunter back to ranged. That would fix the issue to some degree, still wouldn’t make the spec most played spec. It would be just easier to change to SV spec when other two don’t perform well.
Now you have to invest time in SV only, if you decide to change to MM or BM you better have a high ilvl ranged weapon.
To give the feeling that you can be ranged. Otherwise its useless. It would be better of to have some talent that interacts with mongoose/raptor strike or serpent sting.
And you think SV players love that. Legion started of good , with flanking strike as focus generator. Kill Command was just copy paste from BM hunter. There is a reason SV player don’t like to play around KC and that 15% chance to reset.

I never said that. I’m sure some players do, while others do not.
I was merely pointing out the fallacy with the “they were the same” argument, and using it to justify a rework, when the result of said rework in fact made the spec in question share more with another spec, than it did prior to the aforementioned rework.
Even if you look past the comparison of the specs, old vs new, the argument still falls short. Since the specs; MM and (R)SV did not actually share any signature abilities back before the rework, all you’re left with is the argument of “swapping from 1 spec to the other meant that you lost some abilities, while gaining other abilities, ergo they were the same”, which also is inaccurate. This would be the same for literally every pure dmg class in the game. If you ignore the actual abilities/interactions, how they’re designed, what they amount to.

Yea people did say that including my self. But you’re right. They where different but since both of them where ranged and where visibly different from BM, people did call them explosive shot hunters or aimed shot hunters.
Hey at least they made them completely different from each other in Legion. Now DF is the expansions that straight up hates hunters in general.
I’ve grown tired of them repeating the same cycle over and over, when it comes to class development. I haven’t invested in either MM nor SV for several expansions, and BM in DF leaves a lot to desire as well.
I’m not really somone who enjoys replaying old content, but WotLK:C will be it for me for a while. And after that, I dno…

To make your arcane, kill, serpent, exp shots hit harderr. The talent can be very useful in builds that you employ the talents that take advantage. As of now, with flayed shot, and the free kill shots you receive from it, ranger boosts these shots by quite a bit.
Exp also hits much harder with ranger, and it will even boost VV. @ 70, it will be interesting to see builds that make use of this. It could be one of the talents, if used correctly, can make a difference.
