DO we know the reasoning behind giving RETs a hard hitting OP ranged ability?
Shhhh… I’m working on my second pally and just spent two days farming Crusader title, argent pally mount, argent tabard, argent banner and prefected my tmog. Give me a month at least please first.
Rets already got a month last season!
All the other specs/classes vanished.
Rets were running around arenas asking, “Where did everyone else go?”
Because they claimed to be a wheel chair mobility. Blizz instead of giving them a wings-heroic leap (Yrel in HoTS), gave them more range on their abilities
.
Fashionably late I guess…
dunno, but i’ve had situations on some of my characters where a ret is literally able to kill me without ever once stepping in melee range, it’s insane. also the classic situation where they pop bubble and kill you before it ends.
Because rets are super slow and if it were not for the range on our abilities we would literally never hit a ranged class like a mage.
On top of that our self heals got nerfed into the floor to
In shadowlands, I was wondering how long it would take another mage to see how ridiculous this was. These days, it’s not so bad as long as you icy floes/sheep on their blessing of freedom that you can’t steal (if that’s still a thing).
im curious whats the range on their judgment?
edit:
0.6% of base mana 30 yd range
Instant 12 sec recharge
nice. ret pal has more range than devoker.
cant make this up
That’s never changed there boss judgements been 30yrds since classic. Remember your class is the new fish.
Seemed to be the tradeoff with blessing of freedom being removable or stolen. But, with that said this version of paladin is harder to kite to win against, IMO.

“all of you look under your chairs you’re all getting judgement! you’re getting judgement and you’re getting judgement! judgement for everyone!!”
Even rets auto attack has like 15 yard range now lmao
because the dragon fantasy of being slow moving creatures on the ground who you have to coordinate your positioning around was ruined with playable “dragons” so they threw out the rule book for paladin logic as well.
