so i have my family and old friends playing world of warcraft, so we wanted to gather and play the new expansion, so we made new accounts and started to send gifts to almost all of them.
some of the accounts has been banned without even playing for a minute ( for real they didnt even claim the gift yet ) and they got their account closed, when i clicked on the reason behind that, i found 3 reasons which is naming, cheating, and bad communication or something like that, whatever the reason is ( THEY DID NOT EVEN PLAY FOR A SECOND ) how could they do anything at all !!
so for this matter it comes the main questions !! do blizzard love to ban for no reason ? do they like it when getting people out of their platform ?
and when i asked them, they always say open a ticket from the affected account, REALLY ??? how can they open a ( BANNED ) account ?? so they said account appeal doesn’t require logging in, AND THAT IS NOT TRUE !
they give me a link to the account appeal which requires guess what ? yea you guess right " LOG IN "
so either they are doing some sort of a plan or the support members really need to give 1 minute of their time and actually do what they are supposed to do which is “support” the players
again, the accounts got banned did absolutely NOTHING because they did not even claimed the world of warcraft account gift !!
Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do on their behalf.
THEY will need to appeal any account action for review.
Contact Blizzard Support (battle.net) will always work, although it isn’t ideal, or the quickest. No need to be logged in with that link.
You did not try to use the same email address ( battle.net account )… ?
To make the new wow accounts.
thanks, i will try to check it
Why did you all do this? It sounds like they already used to play and had accounts.
What do you mean “we started to send gifts to all of them”? Who sent what? Were those gifts something like Battlenet Balance, game time, or game licenses? Did those transactions fail or were the keys from shady third party sites?
That is the most common reason I can think of for a new account to be closed - if the Blizzard systems think fraud is going on or the account is being used to engage in real money trading/transfer of gold/etc.
As Orlyia said though, they need to be the ones to put in tickets to appeal any account action. Make sure they do NOT reply to any emails. The “do not reply” email they get really is “do not reply”. To answer a person would open a new ticket, reference the first ticket number, then provide the info Blizzard asked for.
most of us were playing in shadowlands, some of us kept playing till now but the most of us got busy with their jobs, we wanted to gather and get back to play for some time in the new expansion, in which we decided to make new accounts and call ourselves the aliens of area150 ( kinda old i know we are +30 xD )
so everyone got their pc and it was like hype out for us that we are gathering to have fun like we used to do in shadowlands season 1
and all of a suden the accounts is getting banned one after another
the gifts made by out friends who still playing the game and they already have their old account rolling since the shadowlands, as for some they dont even remember their accounts ( you would understand that when you are a way for like 3-4 years away from a game, in which we just decided to make new accounts )
Not that my opinion matters at all, but I share Mirasol’s question. If you were all playing just last expansion (well, two expansions ago, as of next week), why were new accounts needed? And why did everyone need things gifted?
Not sure what we would “understand”. WoW accounts do not expire, nor are there many limits to what you can do. You can always roll new characters and any realm you wish.
Don’t get me wrong, you are 100% allowed to create a new account (up to 8 WoW licenses on one Battle.net). But when this information is added to “we all started getting immediately banned on the new accounts”, then it seems like something is amiss. Especially when “gifts” start flowing amongst the “friends”, it starts to look a little fraudulent on Blizzard’s end. Not saying it is, but from their perspective…
If this is the case, they can open a Support ticket and Blizzard will help them recover those accounts. Even if the worst has happened and they have been compromised, Blizzard can help recover and repair the damage. If they can verify a compromise, all the associated actions can be removed, too.
i totally agree with you, when the accounts started to get banned we started to think like what is going on !
from our perspective jokes start to be told that blizzard dont want the old players who misses up dungeons back
as for me i am a gamer i will always remember my account, but as for the people who got busy with their lives, kids and family they already dont even remember the email they created blizzard with, and from our perspective why not just make new accounts for everyone, we are all going to start from the begging anyway and we only care for the fun of the new expansion, specially the new story got us hyped out to be honest
after ready your words, it made sense like what we did will raise suspicions, but it is “suspicions” after all, why don’t the system just start to ban us if there is something actually going on ? doesn’t this make more sense :
but after all, it is what it is, if these accounts is not getting back it will be just a waste of money and our idea of getting back together just got destroyed
I understand your logic here, but no. The damage that exploitative accounts does to the game is immeasurable. Assuming everything is on the up and up, your frustration is completely understandable, but preventing damage instead of repairing damage is always going to be the best course.
Damn… that sucks! Sorry you and your friends had this happen to you. I hope that when they submit tickets, they will all have their accounts restored.
Perhaps this is what triggered your ban? Depending on what those gifts were (or more importantly, where they came from), there could be some issues.
Nothing wrong with starting new accounts tho. That’s totally your prerogative.
