Just to clarify, your fps is dropping or your ping time is high?

The game is currently unplayable for me through charter spectrum. Same setup as I’ve had running great until this week.

just getting random lag spikes in arenas/keys. ill have to see exactly if it’s FPS or whatnot. shouldn’t be i’m on a AI chip and 4080 super

I believe your issue is rlated to this and not related, but your issue should be clearing up.

If your world latency is increasing, it could mean you’re connecting to a different set of servers. A home ping test won’t unfortunately show the connection to the wow servers, so i believe it’s not your internet, and hopefully it’s also just temporary.

i mean i’m from chicago so i should be on chicago servers on illidan

When you have the issue, are you able to move your character around, but all of the other characters are running in place? If so, you are possibly seeing this issue:

If you are grouped with someone that can confirm that they see you moving around during the freeze, then you are likely experiencing the same issue a lot of other people are also seeing, where your client packets are getting to the server, but the packets from the server are getting stuck in the client. If that’s the case, then there’s really nothing you can do to fix it, as it is likely something Blizzard needs to fix.

yes this was what it was

Unfortunately, then, it sounds like you’re going to have to wait for Blizzard to acknowledge that they have an issue in their client and for them to fix it. Welcome to the Freeze Club.

Welcome to what we call the DF and TWW discrepancy on input lag and fps issues. Welcome to the club! Id say about 60% of the player base or more are waiting for a fix but dont hold your breath
