I’m not sure if I have ever taken the time to post on the forums for this game after playing since original WOTLK. My group of buddies decided to roll fresh toons on alliance cata to experience the play through and level up new toons after only ever playing horde. We discovered last night as one of us was level 32 and the others 30-31, that we COULD NOT queue together for dungeons. What the actual hell, this makes no sense and it needs to be fixed. We should be able to queue together even upwards of 6-10 levels apart and it should give us dungeons on our average level. We ran on foot to Gnomer and the xp was just not good at all without the bonus at the end of completion.
15-60 rdf level ranges borked since cata released. there have been many posts but blizz does not care.

They often seem to make changes due to forum outcry that is anti-boosting, anti-dungeons, anti-whatever, but that ends up having almost no long-term impact on bots or whatever it is supposed to, but does have long-term impact on legitimate play, and is never reverted.

Instead of hiring GMs to police the game, they just make blanket changes that screws over the average player. Welcome to Blizzard 2024.

I mean, this does not feel like a new to 2024 thing. More like welcome to the past idk… but maybe more than 10 years of Blizzard. It’s definitely been like this for all the changes made to the Classic series in the past 5 years.
Well I just said 2024 since that’s the year, but obviously it’s been going on for many years now. It really is a joke what they’ve become.
Besides gutting customer support several times, they have the JV squad in charge of Classic, there’s also the fact that they’ve split their already very limited resources into like 5 different version of Classic.
The whole thing is just a mess, and quite frankly not worth a sub.
I really, really want to love what they’re doing, but I just don’t. It’s unfortunate. At the very least, they could make one single #NoChanges (or #ReducedChanges) server for old Classic content, rather than just continue to sneak changes into Era servers every chance they get. That’s creepy, and uncomfortable, and unwanted, imo.
While I won’t argue that Dual Spec in and of itself is so game changing that I cannot stomach to play the game solely because of that one change, adding it to Anniversary realms made me realize that they have already changed Era so much and that isn’t going away. We’ve already passed the point of my own personal disgust reaction being triggered, so at the end of the day, I agree with you.
My feeling is it’s for job security. If they released an authentic server…what do you need ‘Classic devs’ for? Just maintain the server. Simple tech stuff, some customer support (LOL). Certainly not any jobs that require design.
