Random BGs with Friends

I just realized that there isn’t an option to queue for random BGs when you have more than 5 friends in your group. I think this is a serious oversight by blizzard. If you want more people to play this game than partying with your friends should be more accessible. Maybe blizzard should add more incentive to group with your friends like more honor gained when in a group of 5+ for random BGs or more conquest gained when grouped with a party of 5+ in random BGs, that way we can convince more players to play random BGs and lower the queue times for everyone. It’s literally a win win!

I know there are lots of players out there that would love lower queue times and more accessibility for the average player, and this change would also help to cultivate a community within WoW, full of like minded individuals, that are looking for groups of people to push random BGs with and discover their true potential. Might even start pushing players into Rated content… :dracthyr_shrug:

+1 I really love this idea. I hope Blizzard implements this! It’s exactly what the player base needs. I’ve been looking for a reason to queue random BGs with my friends but just didn’t see the point. Extra honor and/or conquest would be perfect. :+1:

I appreciate your feedback!

I love queueing bgs with friends but I understand why the cap is at 5. A premade would destroy a pug in bgs… Which is fun for the premade of course.

Blizzards matchmaking system already matches premade against premade, but I also suggest solo players to join a guild or community and make their own premades so that they don’t feel like they are being left out on the fun.

It’s not an oversight. It’s a problematic issue that Blizzard has explained before when addons were promoting 6+ person premades in random bgs.

Blizzard doesn’t want 6+ person premades in random bgs.

It’s a loss loss for solo players and smaller premades.

It’s not a strict premade matching system. Smaller premades get matched against larger premades.

There’s also the issue of larger premades being able to instantly votekick other players out of bgs. They can remove players who they deem aren’t good enough for their team.

Great post, make it MORE worth it to play with friends. It’s an MMO. There should be an incentive to be active in the community, and to be good at the game.

Should just make it so you can’t accidently q into someone in a community/friends list when in a 5 stack

10 stacking should be bannable imo

Just adding more conquest as a reward for random bgs would increase the incentive for all players to que for them shortening the q times. I get what ur saying tho and i can also see whe premades would often destroy other teams that are not premade. Can more than 5 players on a team join a epic bg? Maybe the could just add a premade only random bgs but then guess thats not much diff than just doing rated premade bgs.

No we don’t need this unless you are going up against other people who are playing coordinated. Premades ruining BGs is bad enough as it is, this would only make it worse.

The queue system has matched groups vs groups for multiple expansions now. Vocal whiners here just speculate and complain because they get emotional after losses. Hence why they have no one to group with. If “premades” are so common, that means you’re the outcast.

I think they can incorporate larger size groups they just need to only have them play against other groups of the same size. To avoid splitting the queues they can limit it to certain sizes, maybe only have them queue into certain BGs that support that type of play and they should get extra rewards because it takes work to put together groups and we’ll call them rated battlegrounds.

Well we all know it does a terrible job of that.

With detail, explain to me how “we all know” that please.

It’s clear that the system doesn’t strictly match premades of the same size.

As an example, consider the exploitatively large premades in AV/IOC. Some people are circumventing the system in order to bring six 5 person groups into the same bg. If the system were strictly matching premades of the same size, there should be six 5 person groups on the other team, but that’s not happening.

Anecdotally, some forum posters who join smaller premades (e.g. 2 people) notice they’re facing 5 person premades. They’ve asked their own team if there is a larger premade, but everyone else are solo pugs.

What?

Random BG queues take 3 minutes, plenty of people are already incentivised to queue BGs because of the easy gearing this time round.

If you queue a party with your friends, go do rated that’s where you can have you coordinated fun.

We all know you just want more options to beat on not prepared players NEW to PvP.

Big No from me. Random BGs should be random and not a coordinated effort from one side.

You must be new.

Hence my point. Literally speculation since everything is anecdotal. It’s not clear at all since you literally have no factual information.

Exploiting the 40 man queues to queue as larger groups etc, I’m actually very much so against.

You must be the type of person I was speaking of.

It’s clear that these exploitatively large premades aren’t going against six or seven 5-man groups on the other team. Thus, the system doesn’t strictly match premades of the same size.
