How are you tracking that exactly? I think they should actually show who’s in a group or not and actually raid-number style mark players. That way, we can actually track it. Right now it’s mostly speculation unless they’re in the same guild I guess.
But yeah, timing queues to get into 40’s with more than 5 players, not ok.
Well that’s because technically those types of premades aren’t supposed to happen. According to the system, a premade is max five players. So there’s no way to match it beyond that.
If the system were strictly matching premades of the same size, there should be the same number of 5 player groups on the other team, but that’s not happening.

Look at Name Plates and notice the Crown icon? There will always be at least one, this designates Lead position.
Rough example, in a 10 player match,
One Crown vs two Crowns.

I don’t think it was designed with that in mind. That’s what I’m saying.

Would you still consider this circumvention, if those in queue specifically queue for one map over the other? I know a lot of these topics involve the “random” group finder for battlegrounds, but I haven’t seen any posts about queuing for specific maps. I’m not actually sure if the pvp pond is small enough to guarantee large groups entering as one- or against eachother, but it wouldn’t surprise me. Thing is even then, people queuing for randoms could end up in said AVs, since the random finder justs puts people wherever, so I don’t know what to say to people who don’t want to be in those kinds of games.
Either the system strictly matches premades of the same size, or it does not. I’m saying it does not.
If people are deliberately bringing 6+ players into the same bg, I consider that circumvention of the intended restrictions of the system (i.e. exploit). They gain an unfair competitive advantage over the other team.

It doesn’t. This is why the meme “All premades are not equal” is so prevalent.
We can have 3 Teams of 3 players with a Healer in each vs 2 DPS queueing together on the opposite side.
It is theoretically “premades vs premades”, but definitely not the same in regards to impact on the match.

You’re not understanding, let me try again.
More than six people desire to play Alterac Valley together, against eachother even. Why can’t we all play together?
edit1: Just to prattle on, it’s a serious irk of mine that the largest group content in this game is unable to be played beyond a 5 minute zerg chore for less-than-casuals. Why does it have to be forced to be pvp in a grand-scale pvp EPIC MODE, I shouldn’t have to try to play this game correctly by some sort of unspoken code- it should just be CORRECT, or BETTER by design.
You can do a war game.
Don’t circumvent the premade size limit in regular bgs.

I liked rated, I did some last night, no lie. That still only caps off at 10v10, which is not unsmart of a decision if there’s any real attempt at balance composition. 10v10 is way easier than 40v40, or 35v35 in Ashran’s case.
Don’t think groups should go above 5 for regular bgs

^This.
[edit] Also, 90% sure the OP was NOT talking about eBGs. 10-man is very different from 40-man. I sure as hell am gonna keep queuing eBGs with friends because they’re super draining to play only with bad pugs who say there’s “no pvp” or “who cares about winning.”

for everyone telling me to do rated, unfortunately rated requires 10 people and I only have 5 friends. Pugging takes too long so my friends and I just want to queue and have fun without having to worry about pugs. I guess we’ll just have to keep syncing our queues together in discord

More than 5 is lame
If you’re sync qing bg’s you’re just not good at WoW
what’s the difference between having 5 people vs 6. None.
