if you want to queue with people you know then queue into rated instead of smashing on ungeared players, but we know that wont happen because of why youre in randoms in the first place.

There is a difference in queuing to gear up with friends in like a group of 2-3 and not being fully decked in gear, versus elite geared full premades. Under geared have no place in rated bgs… If blizzard just made gear not matter so much in random bgs it would help a lot.

Also I AM the ungeared player on my alts lol and I should be able to go into a random bg with my friend and get some honor and conquest to gear up. I am by no means the premades smashing ungeared players.
many such cases, easier to disable group queueing and eliminate it altogether. gear standardization didnt work in legion and it wouldnt work now, no one liked it besides the ultra casual that refused to even attempt to gear their toons.

Why exactly did no one like it? Only downside I see is people mad they can’t smash undergeared anymore…
I think it was mostly the lack of customization available. If Blizz decided you were a mastery/vers class, that is all you got, no matter if you wanted to play with different stats or not.

gear is only 1 variable of many variables that affect the outcome of a battleground.
I think the gearing system is outdated they’ve made a lot of changes over the years, but its still fundamentally the same. you earn a currency by playing and you spend it to purchase a piece of gear.
I would take it multiple steps further and remove the entire gear acquisition process.
at max level all characters unlock a new character profile screen with drop down menus to equip any gear you want or any enchant or any gem. free
keep the wow gameplay and remove gear acquisition and progression all together
just give everyone the stamina, spirit, int, agi, str etc. appropriate for their specific class/specialization and have a certain amount of points assigned to secondary stats that can be allocated however the player wants from a drop down menu at any time. they could introduce something to prevent it from being abused
class/specs can retain their specific tier set bonuses it would just be an additional ability or passive that class would naturally have it doesn’t have to be associated with gear

have an option at character selection screen to start at max lv bypassing the traditional leveling process. -
log-in select specialization and set-up UI, key-binds, transmog
have an advanced drop-down menu option to equip whatever gear / enchants you want similar to a gear simulator. -
play
why waste my time on anything else make it more like overwatch. in OW you q and join a game select your hero and play
just make wow like that, but you would set your character up beforehand because its more complex
Elite gear means nothing lol
the ilvl you get from base conquest isn’t any higher than maxed ilvl (from elite)
the ilvl bonus is purely a pve thing

run a heroic
then he can queue into randoms alone and get gear until he can compete in rated unless you need to hold their hand the entire time, if so maybe they should try bumper bowling
Not sure which position I dislike more:
- It’s okay to queue sync BGs, I just want to play with my 40 friends
or
- You should never queue with friends in any random BGs.

my position keeps the playing field a bit more fair, the other does not.
not many people group with other ungeared players, its nearly fully geared or sometimes one non-geared to pump honor. its a mess.
But… why? why cant they play with their friends in an online game? or ANYONE else in that online game? In the most casual pvp game mode imaginable, you DON’T think they be allowed do that?
really, it just seems like it’d isolate (new) players into a position where they can’t get help, in an otherwise already punishing game mode. This is just a really bad idea. yeah I totally didn’t remember that first half of the post I wrote, but it can just come along sure yeah whatever

Go find 4 friends and q randoms
Or find 1 really good friend and heal them and win just as much
or q alone, play good, and win 60% alone

same reason you cant queue into solo shuffle with a group, and no i dont think it should be allowed.
there are no new players, only returning old players. if the mode is punishing its because you load into a fully geared premade that camps you at the gy, which further proves my point.
Random bgs of any level are very far from a solo shuffle experience in matchmaking and matchstyle. I have no idea how this is relevant.
yeah losing is punishing in that sense, but playing the game itself should be the reward.
I have this sneaking suspicion you’re just a crab. It genuinely seems like you’re thrashing at everything anyone else does better than you, and then trying to blame them for that in accordance with your not so great ideas.
first off, this is clearly not the case in wow… no carrot on a stick, no participation.
disliking things that make the game unbalanced doesnt constitute as “thrashing”, forehead.
